  1. O man tell me about it! I live in East LA and will be starting at SM next week. Unfortunately I don't have a choice for now. No traffic: 20-30 min. With Traffic: 1.5 hours. It's THE WORST TRAFFIC EVER! lol If you can, move within 5-10 miles. Save yourselllllllves! lol It's too late for me. btw What's UCLA vanpool?
  2. My unit manager said that the orientation for Santa Monica would start on February 14th. She said this wasn't set in stone. Can anyone confirm this? =) But that's for Santa Monica, RR folks are probably different. Also, I haven't heard back about setting an appointment to do all the paperwork and the physical/tb tests. Has anyone done this yet?
  3. Congrats Potassium! =) I got a job offer from SM today too. Maybe I'll see you at orientation. My manager told me it starts around Feb. 14th, when is yours?
  4. Hello RNAllie, I'm so glad I'm not alone in this. =) It's hard to think about anything else at the moment! I've applied, applied, applied everywhere and there's so much riding on this. I'm hoping that we get some good news before this weekend when all of the unit managers will be out for the weekend. I keep checking my e-mail and my phone. The unit manager told me she'd be making decisions this week. How about you?
  5. woot may the calls keep coming for all of the fabulous nurses here! Merry Christmas! =) And good luck!
  6. Has anyone been offered a job on the spot at SM? Just curious, as it's been a while since my interview. It feels like a looooong time has passed. I'm trying hard NOT to freak out and assume it means bad news for me. Suffering from impending doom related to interview 1 week ago secondary to unemployment.
  7. Woot! Congrats Misscali! =) That is so exciting! Looks like you're the first here at allnurses. I had my interview at SM on monday, and I'm still waiting to hear back. Torture! =P
  8. Agreed, don't lose hope. There's another week to go!
  9. Hi Sasa, no the number was not a blocked number. It had a 310 area code. =) So no worries. For the last cohort they went down a list in alphabetical order so if your last name is near the end then it might take longer. (I'm not 100% sure this is still the process but I'm near the beginning/middle "K". Hope that helps. Good luck Sasa!
  10. Nursetee, good luck on your interview! Congrats!
  11. Thank you persistancepays! Good luck on your interview. Lets nail it! And good luck to everyone here~ I got the call pretty late, around 8PM so keep your phone's glued to your pocket! I'm so thankful for this site and the encouragement from the community here. It's so great to have allnurses as a support system. :redpinkhe Thank you all-nurses!
  12. Woohoo! Just got a call too! I have to call the hospital tomorrow to schedule an interview. I was told that it will either be with the recruiter or the unit manager. It depends on the unit I guess. My status still says "we have contacted you for an interview." fyi
  13. Good luck everyone! Today's the big day. Hoping to receive a call as well.
  14. For those waitlisted~ Don't lose hope! I remember during their last cohort they contacted waitlisted applicants later on in the process.
  15. Just had my talent plus interview. oh man... my voice started shaking halfway into the interview. I couldn't control it! But, I did my best to be honest. =) Some of the questions were so strange. I found myself babbling through some of them.
