5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.
6) enter your username.
7) enter your password.

10) select your test type.

12) select your country.
13) click the button.
14) answer the yes/no questions.
15) select your country again.
16) select your state.
17) type in your city.
18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.
19) select your school.
20) select the month and year of your graduation.
21) select your board of nursing.
22) click the button.
Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick
It sucks for NCLEX-PN test-takers here in Ca because our board doesn't participate in quick results. I hope we just had one board for the RNs and PNs so we can check results faster. I envy the RNs here... they don't wait that long for their results. God, they can even check their names on the BRN website after 48 hours. I'm soooo anxious!
i took my test this monday (8/30/10). Every day Ive been checking the pvt and it gave me the good pop up. I was expecting my results today but its still not on the brn website..i called the brn and they said i dont have my transcripts yet..does the pvt trick still applies to me??i am so anxious ryt now..pls help me.ty
I just registered on this site today & I have been hearing a lot about the "PVT" and the "good pop" and I don't understand what that means.. can someone please be kind enough to explain. I just did my Nclex this morning and I am so restless - I can;t eat nor drink. I had a lot of "all that apply" and I had a hard time and I just feel that I did not do well cot it stopped at 147.. what is PVT please?
I AM NOW A REGISTERED NURSE. Didnt have to pay the $8. Looked it up on the MO board nursing website. Took my exam on Aug 31 and got the result Sept 2. What a lightning speed that is.

The Pearson Vue trick is to check UNOFFICIALLY whether you pass the nclex or not. basically what you are trying to do is right after you take the exam, you go home and try to re-register again for another examination. as you fill up the information you provided before, if it stops you from going to the credit card page had a pop up that says "our records indicate that you have previously scheduled..." something like that it means you passed, if it lets you go to the credit card page that means you failed. Like I said earlier, its like an unofficial result, what's more important is your OFFICIAL result which is the one that comes from mail or via quick results.

Another registration cannot be made at this time." (copy paste deal) At least my stomach is starting to uncoil and I can enjoy some food & a drink - Phew! now I wait for the real deal results.... yes, that is the good pop up. if you go through the whole "re-registration" process and it won't allow you to purchase it with your credit card and you get that pop-up, you passed!!!
Hang in there! I know all about the anxiety r/t waiting!!! I went insane! Does your state participate in the "quick view" option? mine does, and that's how I found out today.. paid the $8 and cried tears of joy.. in my jammies at 6am!! :) And I did try to look on the state board of nursing's website to see if i've been issued a license yet.. to avoid the fee.. and it says PENDING.. but trust me.. the $8 is WELL WORTH ending the mind-boggling anticipation!!!
good luck to you.. and if for some ridiculous reason you didn't pass, DO NOT GIVE UP!!! I failed the NCLEX the first time, and i got so down on myself, that I didn't take it again for a year and a half!!! HANG IN THERE.. believe in yourself ALWAYS, and never give up!!!! :)
I took my NCLEX-PN in CA on August 16 and it stopped at 75 questions. I had mixed feelings re: whether I passed or failed. Two dosage, priority, many pharm., and many SATA. I tried the pop-up and received the "good" pop up. After reading the string I was happy that I tried it as it offered some relief. I received my letter that I passed on Aug. 25th, less than 10 days later!
