Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

Well, I took my boards Sept 01, 2010. Let's see if I passed.... I had 75 questions. I did not feel confident leaving. Tons of meds and select all that apply. Two areas that aren't my strongest. I left feeling so defeated. I was convinced I failed. I called my two close friends and relayed the bad news immediately. From there I went to work and picked up 28 straight days. Lol, I guess that's how I deal. Yesterday did go a lot easier as I was at work and not home developing ulcers. My friend told me about this trick and I tried it a million times yesterday and it made me feel a lot better....until I happened upon some people saying in another thread that people seem to be getting randon false positives and negatives. I took the boards at 10:15 on the first. I guess I have to wait til after the same time today to access my quick results? I'll let you guys know.

I took my NCLEX-PN in CA on August 16 and it stopped at 75 questions. I had mixed feelings re: whether I passed or failed. Two dosage, priority, many pharm., and many SATA. I tried the pop-up and received the "good" pop up. After reading the string I was happy that I tried it as it offered some relief. I received my letter that I passed on Aug. 25th, less than 10 days later!

75? i am not too sure about that. 85 is the minimum forPN in CA. i took mine last month, stopped @ 85 and passed. they say 75 for RN and 85 for PN are higher level of questioning (higher difficulty level = good!) Goodluck!

I just registered on this site today & I have been hearing a lot about the "PVT" and the "good pop" and I don't understand what that means.. can someone please be kind enough to explain. I just did my Nclex this morning and I am so restless - I can;t eat nor drink. I had a lot of "all that apply" and I had a hard time and I just feel that I did not do well cot it stopped at 147.. what is PVT please?

Merging this with existing thread for continuity

Good luck

So apparently I have to wait one more day to find out. I took my boards on the first. Some of my friends were able to count the day they took them as one of the two business days. I guess I'm not so lucky. Well positive pop-up is all I'm running on right now...which isn't much according to some.

Oh no!! You just made me nervous again!! I was feeling a little better after I saw that I got the good pop up.... but people have been getting false positive/negatives?? Oh boy. I find out Sunday morning.

Isn't it 85 questions for PN and 75 for RN?

Alright guys. I walked out of the test feeling like absolute shite. I was about 90% sure I failed. I studied my ass off, but the questions were seemed foreign to me. I never felt more sure than an idea of the answer for many of the questions. I got a crapload of select all that apply and meds. A nightmare as those weren't my strong areas. I was terrified as I reached the 75th question. I hit the "next" button. "Please, one more. Please one more." No such luck. I was officially done. When I walked in people were already seated and testing. I was the first one to leave. No exaggerations, the testing people looked at me sympathetically. Maybe only because they could see the disappointment in my face - though I knew they didn't know whether I passed or failed - I ran out of there. I immediately called friends to inform them that I failed. Friends who had taken their boards argued that I had no idea what I was talking about, but there was no convincing me. I never passed a test before that I felt that I had done terribly on. I think that is the great divide between the boards and probably ever other test one will take before the boards. Anyway, I was told about "the trick" and tried it repeatedly with the same surprising results. It seemed to imply I had miraculously passed. No way. I felt good about it, til I came across a few threads here that stated people were getting false negatives and positives. I immediately started developing ulcers again. Today a few hours after the time I had taken the test on the first....it finally said my results were "available". Oh Crud. I was thinking of you guys when I decided to do the trick one last time before finally getting my results. I tried once again to register for the R.N. exam and the "Good pop up" appeared. Ok....this seems good. I checked my results. I passed. Maybe there is some truth to this whole thing afterall. Keep your chin up and don't let yourself get to bent out of shape over it. The trick just might be true. Best of luck. - DABDA R.N.

Congratulations!!! Happy for you. :))

hey guys i've been reading on this forum for a while but just joined today.

i took the nclex-rn for the first time in july and failed. i had 265 questions and after it was over, i just knew i had failed because i kind of threw in the towel after i passed the 75 question mark. i went home and found this site and did the pvt. it took me straight to the credit card page. i was devastated. but three days later i bought a kaplan strategies book to study.

after that, i signed up for a kaplan review course in august and it gave me a lot of confidence. i got 65% on the readiness test and the same scores on question trainers 6 and 7. i did 100% of the qbank questions and did 150 q's a day for two weeks until my test. i made flashcards with rationales for all incorrect answers and found this to be very helpful.

i took the nclex-rn for the second time september 2 and it shut off at 75 questions. i had about 3-4 pharm questions about meds i had never heard of before. lots of SATA and priority and one med math question.

i tried the pvt again and this time i got the good pop up!! i've been stalking the ohio bon site and i've done the pvt about fifty times just to make sure. although i have that little bit of reassurance from the trick, i'm still so nervous :uhoh3:

and i dont think my nerves will be rested by the quick results anytime soon because of the labor day weekend, so i'm guessing i wont get my unofficial quick results until tuesday!? i'm just hoping the ohio bon shows my name tomorrow, i've heard it takes them about two days to post your license info....if you pass.

holy crappppp!!!!!!!!

ahhhhhhh!

i just checked the ohio bon site, for the 100th time today, and I PASSEDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm so happy!

the pvt does work!!:):yeah::bow:
