Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

OK I have been waiting for a week and a half now worried sick going back and forth if this thing really works(i am sure just like everyone else) anyways I had seen where someone posted that you need the ATT (authorization to test)before you can reregister so the trick cant possibly work but I just got off the phone with customer service with out mentioning the trick!!

He told me I can simultaneously register with the boards and Pearson vue pay the $200 and wait for the boards to send me my ATT so the trick actually can be true! I hope so for mine and all of us who are waiting sake ;-D

I took my NCLEX today at 8am....I was finished in 45mins with 75 questions....left the testing center 100% certain I failed BUT Im getting the good pop up SOOOOOOO Thursday morning cant come soon enough.....I will let y'all know!

Hello everyone. I am super anxious as I await my test results. I took the NCLEX-PN in California a year and a half ago.. failed it.. gave up for a while.. and re-took it in Las Vegas today. I was feeling super confident and the computer shut off after an hour and fifteen mins!! I had stopped looking at the number of questions I was getting...so I couldn't tell you- but I was in total shock when it shut off. I really thought maybe they were having technical difficulties!! I took the survey and walked out.. with tears streaming down my face!!!

It kept asking me over and over again about Alzheimer's, electroconvulsive therapy, and thyroid meds!! I didn't really study those subjects super well, but they kept giving me harder and harder questions regarding those topics!!

Anyway, I had already decided that I failed, and started making plans to re-take it and get some tutoring this time. I had already gone through the learningext.com's program TWICE, and have been drowning myself with reading the Saunders NCLEX book.. until I got home and looked up the "Pearson Vue Nclex trick"...

I tried to re-register, and got the good pop-up window. After thinking about it, it makes sense that this would work. My questions is: is it too soon to do this? It hasn't even been 24hrs yet...

My second question is: is it becoming more common to shut off early? I've been reading a lot of posts here, and it seems that I either did really well or did really really poorly.

Will someone please give me a straight answer/opinion? I appreciate positive thinking...but I'm having severe anxiety  and really want someone to be honest with me!!

Relax, as long as you get good pop up, you passed.......

Has this happened to anyone? Has anyone gotten the GOOD Pop-up and found out they failed?

Or even the other way around? I'm taking my exam on Friday.. I moved it up 5 days b/c anxiety is killing me and I want to get it over with!

Merged with existing thread, please keep all questions regarding the trick in one place

Hi guys...i took the nclex yesterday and felt sick to my stomach since then. Didnt sleep last night, havent had anything to teat because I think I did bad on the test...I tried the PVT trick couples times and so far its been giving me good pop up...my question is, does anyone has a good pop up and finds out they fail?

I took NCLEX RN test yesterday (8/30/10) @ 8AM. At 75 questions the computer shuts down and the time was about 10:45am. I didn't return home till 1:10pm and logged into Pearson Vue. The status was DELIVERY SUCCESSFUL. So I tried to register again and got the pop up saying "Our records indicate.......blah blah cannot register for new test.." Being a worry wart that I am, my question is did I do the trick early? :uhoh3: I am so scared to do the PVT trick again today and end up on the CC page. I still got 24hrs to go before the quick results.

UPDATE: I passed! PVT works!:yeah:

Thank you allnurses.com:D

One tip about NCLEX RN: Study Infection control like your life depends on it. The infection control mnenomnics is the best!:nurse:

Okay so I took my nclex today. I had ALL 265 questions! I felt sick and defeated. Came home figured I would check the trick for some glimmer of hope or confirmation of what I knew was to be. Got the good pop up!!! My question is how often does someone take ALL 265 questions and still pass? Please help I am FREAKING OUT!

Oh maaaaaaaaaaan, I took the NCLEX-RN for the California BON just this morning and WOW...it was indeed, ONE TOUGH EXAM! Goodness gracious. All those SATA's and multiple choice questions that seemed so out-of-this-world and all those medications that I haven't even heard of before made my head spin!!! Hahaha.

The moment I got out of the testing center, I was so looking forward to trying the PVT. With teary eyes and sweaty hands, I clicked and typed...hanging on desperately for dear life hoping that I do get the good popup. And lo and behold, I did get it! Now what's next. Does the PVT really work?

I mean, I do hope the PVT does work...as that's the only thing that I'll be holding on to 'til I get something on the mail after 45 dreaded days. Ahhhhhhh! This feeling is so frustrating.

Lord, let Your will be done. ;-S

Took the nclex yesterday. I was not anxious at all when I got home. My husband was so worried that I would be upset and cry so he met up with me outside the test center at 8:30PM after I finished the exam. Had 265 questions. Sat in one spot for 6hrs. Well I had 12 minutes left after I was done. Ate only slices of bread all day long and had a small glass of orange juice in the morning. Took no breaks during the exam. For a while I stood up while I was taking the exam, stretched myself out in every possible positions and also sat on my legs on the chair. Anyway it's an experience I only want to experience once. But if I had to do it again, no big deal just another $200. If I fail, I'll study harder and will look forward to taking it again. I am not very smart so I knew that I had to put in lots of study hours. I did between 6,000-10,000 from Billings/Lippincott, ATI, Kaplan, Saunders, Frye and NCSBN materials. Well, my husband checked for the pop up thing that you all talked about here. He realized that NCSBN wont let me register for another test date. He feels relieved. On the other hand, I just simply tell myself that I know I invested a lot of time in studying for this. I can do it again if I dont pass. No big deal. I'll just gain another 10lbs on top of the 10lbs I've gained while studying for this exam already. Time to workout once again in a few days if I learn that I passed the exam.

Oh no! The popup currently says, "The candidate currently has test results on hold. A registration cannot be made at this time." Can somebody please tell me what this means? Has anyone experienced this? My mind is in chaos now. Waaaaaaah!

Okay people....PVT really is legit. I told a few people from nursing school how to do it and they all passed! I'm heartbroken. After 2 times, I really feel like a failure! That test took the life out of me, because NURSING is my passion. I don't understand what happened nor why. Congrats to all of the people who has passed.
