Applied to PBSC RN Program for Spring 2011. Playing the waiting game. I decided to apply to the Belle Glade Campus.....
i'm going to turn in all my stuff this week. i got cpr certified, all my shots, did the drug testing and background screening, took the hesi and ordered my uniform.. all in the past two weeks :)chepherd - i ordered the lab coat. i have a tendency to get cold easily so that's why i did. the pbsc nursing sweater is a "one size fits all" and was gigantic on me. oh i got all my shots done at my doctors office.
anju,
how did you get your background screening done?
when i was there yesterday the nursing office said they had not sent out the right paperwork, that i would have to come back before the end of the month to do the fingerprinting.
other than that i turned everything else in yesterday. my med screen and titers were done, ordered my uniforms, took the hesi... exhausting
For those of you that are taking Pharm (NUR1141) On line.....
I emailed the professor to ask how many chapters are on the first test. The first test covers "12 chapters"!!!.
She also advised me to not try to memorize everything, just focus on understanding what you are reading. If you turn each paragraph heading into a question once you have read the paragraph, you should be able to answer the question in your own words, if you have understood what you read. Hope this helps.....

I was taking Pharm in the classroom this semester and had to drop out because of other commitments. But it is basically the same as online as far as the schedule goes. You will have a test just about every other week. The first test was 11 chapters, but they are not that involved. Every test after that is about 6-8 chapters...and those are FAR more involved with drug names, contraindications, nursing considerations, etc. Read the chapters, do the workbook questions and do not memorize...rather comprehend the information and you will do fine. The tests are more about comprehension and application and less about memorizing facts.

Does anyone know how strict they are on piercings? I know this sounds silly. But I have my nose pierced, and I know people in the health care field that have their nose pierced as well so I was just wondering.
