Applied to PBSC RN Program for Spring 2011. Playing the waiting game. I decided to apply to the Belle Glade Campus.....
Yes artistdiaz! lol that was me. It's funny because for some weird reason I did the poorest on anatomy and phys, which really caught me off guard. Chemistry is usually my mortal enemy, but i did really well on it. I ended up with a 89.57. Which one were you?
Also, I'm taking pharm live but I would love to join a study group. The way i see it, the more help the better!

That's funny. I was against the wall right behind you. Well, you are more than welcome to join us if we start a study group. My biggest challenge will be that I work full time days, but if we can do a study group on a Saturday or one evening a week, that would be great!
Hello peops,
I hope everything is coming together for all of you.
I have a few things that are not done yet but hope to complete all requirements within the week. Still have not visited that store (copy's) to get uniforms, etc.... so excited about the uniform but not too thrilled about looking so plain and will miss showing off skin when my ankles are crossed. lol
Is anyone getting the lab coat or the PBSC nursing sweater? Which would you recommend?
Did you guys get your shots done, if yes where did you go?
I'm going to turn in all my stuff this week. I got cpr certified, all my shots, did the drug testing and background screening, took the HESI and ordered my uniform.. ALL in the past two weeks :)
chepherd - I ordered the lab coat. I have a tendency to get cold easily so that's why i did. The PBSC nursing sweater is a "one size fits all" and was gigantic on me. oh I got all my shots done at my doctors office.
Anju, man..aren't you on the move and making fast progress! I already did the HESI (thank goodness) and my cpr certification does not expire for now. I will get the lab coat too; heard about that one size fits all sweater.
I also plan to turn in all paperwork this week and forget this part of the process because there are other things to focus on. Yeah I need to drive to the Belle Glade campus to see what it looks like.
I haven't got my shots done, I've heard the health clinic is an option and I hope that option is still available as I recently lost my job along with the health insurance. If anyone has been to the clinic, let me know the process of getting the shots done.

Mars, I will be taking Pharm online, so I may be emailing you soon to discuss a study group. I will be in the prat time program thursdays and saturdays and i work full time, but i will make time. I can use all the help I can get. I just tried taking it this semester and had to withdraw. I was ok at memorizing all the meds, uses, contraindications, etc...just had a hard time with the test questions..they were not black and white. More critical thinking. Just couldn't get used to it. I am still reading and studying my pharm book so that I feel better prepared for it come January.
Anju30 - did you take the HESI today? Were you the last one in? I thought I heard the name Anju. If you did how did you do? I did ok. Funny, I got a 96 on the english and 100 in the math. And ye I ended up with a 79. The chemistry is what killed me. I was fine on anatomy and biology...but that chemistry and me have been mortal enemies for quite some time now...LOL!
