Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.

I read on line that this school works on a point system

I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program

(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO

WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.

Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.

WOOOOTTT! I got back my NLN scores today!

Made 99th percentile for all degree seeking programs overall and 98th in the associate seeking programs! :)

Congratulations mrmedical...when are you applying to PBSC...June or October? Are yo applying for day or night program? I will hopefully be applying to the night program in October for Spring 2011 start. I take the NLN in September. I'm working on pre and co-reqs until then.

Hi artistdiaz,

I'm applying in June for the Fall 10 term; the full time day program in Lake Worth. I just completed the procalc quiz and all I have left on my plate now is to finish this semester up strong (Micro, lab, nutrition, and health).

I don't want to say anything with absolute certainty, but I think I've managed to maintain enough points to make it in easily (hopefully :) ). As soon as it's available I hope to sign up for Pharmacology over the summer.

mrmedical congrats on NLN. It's good that you are taking pharm over the summer. It is a ton of material in a short amount of time but it beats taking it with 1st semester. I'm in second now and some of my friends took it last semester w/nursing and wished they had taken it over the summer. Best of luck :yeah:

I had 26.?? for spring, which is lower than fall. I would think 27/28ish would be the cutoff.

Are all your prerequisites done? 90+ on NLN? volunteer/work experience point?

Also, if you're Haitian, make sure to let them know. They have some program for Haitian students.

Can anyone in 2nd semester tell me what the first exam was on. I want to start my reading this summer. TIA.

If they keep it the same it's on chronic bronchitis,emphysema,copd,asthma,tb,pneumonia,cad/acs,htn,tia/cva,pvd,intro to hf,phlebitis,esophagitis/stomatitis, otitis media, pud, hiatal hernia, gerd, bph, vaccinations throughout the lifespan, immunity types. I think that about does it... thats enough isn't it.. good luck
