Hi everyone I took my NCLEX-RN this morning and when i get home (few hours after I finish my exam) tried the PVT and I even entered all valid credit card info with insufficient amount (because I dont have any CC with sufficient amount :yes:) and when I hit the submit button, I got the bad pop up. :(

"The payment was decline Reason: attempt to connect to issuing bank is unsuccessful. Please enter different card or try again later"

I felt so sad because ive read so much about PVT and everybody says that its works. And this is my second attempt to take the NCLEX-RN.

Does anyone here got the same pop up? Or got the same pop up and passed?

I wish I pass my nclex. :(

If you've read "so much" about PVT as you say, then surely you must have seen the hundreds of posts that discuss waiting 24 hours before doing it? That your exam must be scored TWICE, and that this process is not finalized until sometime during the 24 hours following completion of your exam? And that only the first score is done the moment the exam finishes, but it can take upwards of those 24 hours to get the second one done? Surely you must have seen that doing the PVT mere hours after your exam only risks you losing $$, not knowing what happened?

If you've read about the PVT, then you already know that people have gotten the exact pop up you did; whether it was "accurate" because they waited 24 hours or a total waste of time because they didn't, that's a different story.

Yes ive read also about that but when I took my first exam I experience exactly what I got today. Did anyone post who has a bad pop up, then eventually after 24hrs got his/her good pop up?

Yes, in which case they have donated $200 (non-refundable) to PV. MOST of the time it doesn't happen, but sometimes it does. My suggestion would be to wait at least 24 hours after the time you walked out of the center and try at that point, if you want to try again. Or....wait for official notification. If you live in a State that participates in Quick Results, you can just pay the $8 and get official results.

Do any of you know if you have to use an active credit card for the PVT (after 24 hour) or can you use an inactive one? Thanks in advance. :)

The answer is a definite maybe ;)

Most of the time it will take a valid pre-paid card (like a gift card) with a low balance. Somtimes it will allow you to use a regular credit card but with the expiration date changed so a charge won't go through if it attempts the charge. And sometimes it has to be a bonafide card with all the submitted data correct or you get a message something along the lines of "please contact your issuing bank...card invalid" regardless of whether or not a charge is needed, whether or not you passed.

It's a trick. Pay the eight bucks for the Quick Results if you have that as an option in your State, and then you'll know for certain.

Did you get your results.. I took my exam today and i got 235 questions it took me to the decline reason payment too :( so I know I failed i guess...

If you did the PVT only a matter of hours after you completed your exam, all you know is that your first scoring was a 'fail'. It is not until a full 24 hours has passed that you can be sure BOTH SETS of scorings is completed. If at that point it still allows you to pay....then it's a fail.

Sometimes, though people DO pass in the end. These are usually the ones who come back here saying "the PVT said I failed, I got the bad pop up, but I PASSED!!" It's because they didn't wait for the QA score to be done.

The chances are small, it's true. But....it's still a chance.

I did it as soon I took the board its been now couple hours I still got the bad pop up I will wait another 24 hours and do it again.. Thank you I hope I passed! I studied hard.. I have done Saunders, Kaplan, Hurst listened to videos and NCBSN for 8 weeks and private tutoring...
