  1. Thanks! Yeah, waiting can be hard. Hang in there!
  2. I just got an offer from medical. Good luck :)
  3. Thanks! That helps to know I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten a call. I will post if I hear anything.
  4. Hi - has anyone who interviewed for med/surg heard back yet? I had thought that they said Feb. 5th would have been the latest to hear back (either way), but it's possible that I wrote down the wrong date or that there was a misunderstanding. Thanks in advance & good luck to all. :)
  5. If your heart is in nursing, you should follow it and take one step at a time to actively improve your basic math skills. You can do it. :)
  6. Do any of you know if you have to use an active credit card for the PVT (after 24 hour) or can you use an inactive one? Thanks in advance. :)
  7. Good to hear. Congrats :) question - for the PVT, do you have to use an active credit card or can you use an inactive one? Thanks in advance!
  8. Focus on whatever positive professional things about you that you can think of, and also tie in how you became passionate about nursing and the specific area of nursing that you are interviewing for. Be you, and you will be unique. Good luck. :)
  9. I believe that if you take one step at a time, you could become a great public health nurse OR med surg nurse. Give yourself as many breaks as you can right now, reach out to your family and friends, and also reflect on the reasons that you are motivated to be a nurse in general, a public health nurse, and postpartum nurse. Don't believe people who say that you need year(s) of bedside nursing to achieve the position that you want, because you never know what can happen if you explore your options, do your research, and network. :)
  10. I hope to be a pediatric RN. Then I will get an MSN or DNP, or MSN then DNP, in family NP specialty. :)
  11. Eric, thanks for sharing - I spoke w/ student/academic services as well. I just finished my BSN this month also. Though I had heard before applying that I'd be considered without RN experience, apparently my lack of RN experience is what kept me from an acceptance offer.
  12. Thank you army nurse:) I heard that end of August people were called last year but wow, the morning of orientation would be crazy. I just called and found out that last year they took 18 off the wait list, but I do imagine that it all can vary a lot. 23 spots in the FNP cohort this year and 21 on the wait list. Over 90 apps.
  13. Congrats to those who were accepted. :) I'm waitlisted for FNP and trying to find out how many spots in the cohort there are. Jmed - just wondering what you have heard about being waitlisted? Thank you!
  14. Congrats. :) I'm waitlisted for FNP.
