Pay for new grad

Hi,

Just wondering what kind of pay new grads usually get... I was accepted an offer of $21.85 an hour, I just graduated in May. There was no room for negotiation as that hospital has the same pay for all new grads... I am in Central Florida if that matters. I'm going to grad school right away which they will pay 5k towards after working there for 6 months, so I figure that is worth a lot.

My facility pays $23 for days, $24 for 3 - 11 and 11 - 7.

$21.85 sounds like Orlando Health's starting pay. Florida Hospital offers slightly above $22 for a freshly minted nurse...really not enough difference to be concerned about.

Take the offer. If you really need more pay you can work nights and get a healthy differential.
