Difference between OCN and BMTCN
Hello, I am new to the world of oncology nursing and in my unit I see nurses with The tittles OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) and BMTCN (Bone and Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse). Can anyone explain what the differences are, if one is more basic than the other? Try to find the answer online but have not been successful. Thank you.

Maryville University Nurse Pracitioner Program
Are you sure you have the right number to call? On my fist call I got a rapid response from an admission advisor and spent about half an hour on the phone with her. Then she sent me an e mail will all the info she had just given me on the fone and did a follow up call 4 days later. So far so good.

They won't stop calling me!
I strongly disagree with you since this nurse has no obligation to do someone else's job. It is the management's responsability to fill in those gat that they allowed in the first place to occur. There are plenty of nurses out there that would be more than happy to cover some of these spots. If we nurses don't stand for ourselves we will continue to be stepped on and our job taken for granted. You should re-evaluate your standards and ideas of nursing

Will I get a call saying I didn't get the job?
their way of saying you didn't get is to simply disappear... If I were you I'd give them a friendly follow up call, worked for me ;-) Good luck

What is wound care like? what skills needed?
well it is doable and you can learn quickly. Hopefully they place you might start working at has a wound care team and you can learn from them. I really like wound care, you can see some tough cases but it is rewarding to see the patients get better when done well and around the clock ;-) Good luck

That happened to me too when they called to offer a job, it is probably three days general orientation plus the 2-3 weeks clinical orientation

Do hospitals incur a net gain or a net loss from the training of a new graduate RN?
yes, way off topic but OMGGG!!! what were they thinking?? no justice for that kid ? only guilty for lying to a police officer? what about not reporting that kid missing for 31 days while she was seen dancing and celebrating during those days ? that is not justice, but she will get her Judgement Day, and she better be prepared for real justice
