LTC, 1 LPN to 12 to 18 pts, I work the subacute/vent unit. My midnight shift adds about 10 more. Oh yeah , been a nurse for 2 months now by the way.

Specializes in Paramedic.

Wow I could not fathom having to take care of 13 patients on a shift.....

OK OK I'm bad, my mind wandered to palin and her ' death squads' re: healthcare reform..If people only knew. Do these people have families?

NA=30-40 LTC total care. Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Psych, end of life....all incontinent

CNA=40-55 LTC, same ailments
