Patho, Summer 2010

Yep. I'm taking it through Santa Barbara community college, online.

I am finishing up patho from spring term. I posted a few threads on patho in the past, and didn't find a lot of responses. You might have more luck in the nursing student general forums. It's not typically a pre-req and not all programs even require patho for their degree.

Patho is a pre-req for the program I'll be applying to, but I'm not taking it until the fall. I've already started reading the text and I'm really enjoying it, it's pretty cool stuff!

I'm keeping my AP text right next me so I can refresh my memory when I need it. I also started a thread under 'Nursing Student Assistance' to share any resources found. Keep us posted at how your class is going, I'm interested to hear how it goes. Good luck!!

Any other online patho programs?

I took patho 1 in the spring, and my teacher was the most amazing ever, i got an A. But we did have study guides that were really helpful, it was a really fun class for me and i hope you find it fun too :)

My program doesn't have pre reqs, but I figured it might be a pre req for others. I wish my school offered it online, that would be so great for a summer class (no missed beach days? beautiful. haha), but I'll be in a classroom Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8-12!

I've heard good things about the class, so I'm kind of excited to take it!

I am currently taking patho over the summer at university of S FL, but I will find out if I was accepted in the program in a few weeks. On the third class day, we had our first exam on chapters 1-8. The patho over summer moves very fast since you have to cover so much in a short amount of time. Good luck to all!

I'm taking patho for the Samuel Merrit accelerated BSN.

I was wondering also why Patho is a pre-req for NS. I now realize it is for accelerated BSN. I heard that these programs are very tough. Good luck there.

It's not just for accelerated programs, some ADN programs require it as well.
