As long as your passport is still valid and your signatures match and your name matches with your ATT it should not be a problem, however you may want to get it updated before you actually travel abroad with it.
Understand that in this case the Passport is being used as an ID not a pass for entry.
If you have time and money, it wouldn't hurt to inquire to DFA to see if you can get a new machine-readable passport in time.
DO NOT USE FIXERS!!!
These guys at Pearson Vue can spot errors in a passport very well and I don't want to see you turned away for something like that.

hi!
is your passport the green one? anyway, as long as your passport is not expired and you have your signature there, you can use it for nclex. when i took nclex, my passport at that time was not machine readable too (green passport)...
good luck on your nclex!!!:rckn:

I took the exam last October 14 and I used the green passport. Remove the plastic cover of your passport. They hate passports with plastic cover. =)
Make sure that you have your signature in your passport.

^ my signature in my passport is just my first name, but the one in my application to the BON has my whole name. Will it be a problem?

how about if your passport is the new brown one? I applied for it last 2007 & it doesn't have the signature bearer.
^ Can you continue to sign your whole name on your passport? I think it might be a problem in the future since when you get your license, your passport is the one they are going to use for identification purposes. But for the NCLEX exam at the Trident Tower, they would only compare your name in your ATT with your name in your passport.
^ With your case, you should bring another valid ID. Your PRC license is enough. =)

Signatures must be the same on eveything, and your passport signature should match the others.
Changing signatures in the middle of processing of legal documents is never a good thing. And a legal signature should never be just your first name.
All I can say is best of luck to you. Remember that if they deny you entry for the exam, they do not refund any of the money and you will have to pay the $350 US again to test.
If everything does not match, then they are not required to permit entry to you. Keep your fingers crossed.
If your passport does not have a signature in it, then you are going to have to show them additional legal identification that has a signature that they can verify.
my recently expired passport was the green one, but when i renewed it, it was already the brown passport. there's a signature part there at the last page..
