passed nclex after seven attempts

Published

I have finally passed the nclex after seven attempts. Yes you read it right it took seven no's before that yes came along. my strategy was simple. The only way I would fail was to give up and giving up was not an option. So for all of you who are going through this right now there is no failure unless you give up and if giving up is not an option then you will get that pass. RNendurence

Congrats! I have to say that you are an inspiration. I am currently debating if I want to re-take my NCLEX-RN for the fourth time. I am starting to believe that I wasted three years of my life in nursing school. I feel like giving up but I want to be a nurse so bad. I mean I have never pictured myself doing anything else but nursing. So, thank you for giving me hope. Congrats again.

congrats!!! Even Though The Original Post Is Dated. How Inspirational. I Will Keep Trying If I Need To! ;)

Congrats also.

However, this thread is over two years old - doubt OP will be back.

TraumaRUs: Probably right. But wow... Congrats to her/him... Good luck to you. I have taken test twice and will take again after the new year...

WOW and UGH, but It Will Happen!

Good luck to you and all !!!

I just want to say Thank you for sharing your story with everyone. I just passed my boards a little more than two weeks ago. I was really relieved and happy to have passed but also felt a bit guilty. My mom was a nurse in the Phils but hasn't been able to pass her boards here =( I know she put off studying because she had to work to put me through school and now I feel like I should help her pass. I didn't pass until my third attempt so I can only imagine how my mom felt all those times she sat and didn't pass. I felt so depressed and then realized my mom has been trying to pass the boards since we moved here. Reading your experience only motivates me to help her even more. Got any suggestions on how I can help her without being overbearing? She works full-time and I made a study schedule for her. A set number of questions everyday & she's listening to Feuer Content Review CDs on her way to work. When I try to review things with her she's usually tired from work or trying to get sleep for work. So I don't really know what else to do to make sure that this time she passes. I know it's lengthy. Thanks!

Ms. RNendurance...now i see why u chose that screen name. God Bless you forever. taking the nclex and failing..okay try again, but taking it 7 times and passing is PRICELESS!!!!

I am having such a hard time and to see you stuck with it...i know there is a God out there. Just having faith and saying, and believing that it can be done is what i am striving for!
