Hi to all! I passed the nclex last 2008. I just got my SSN last month as an employer based immigrant. Just a week ago, I submitted my Completed Application for Licensure by Examination including a U.S. social security number as instructed by the CA BON. My school also forwarded the needed documents.
My questions are:
Has someone gone through the same thing as I am?
What happened?
Did they release your license or not?
If yes: How long did you wait for your license?
If not: What did they say? Can you send me a copy? Did they make you do further studies?
--As i have said, I am on employment based petition, so with this, my employer is waiting for my license. With this, my life is on hold. I hope to be enlightened with this. Thank you so much.

All of the people here were approved because they sent their passing letter (expired) together with the fresh application and some other documents like ss number and diploma etc. It seems that its just you and me at this time that has yet gotten our license. How long did it take for them to take the money out of your bank account? Its already been almost a month since I submitted my application and they have not yet taken the money. Also, the CA BON has just updated to a new system (BreEze) which was implemented just the first week of October. You can check their website (CA BON) and find on the top part saying all applications are delayed because of the transition. There is also one person here in the thread with the same situation you had and solved it by calling the CA BON telling them he/she already passed the exam before and they dropped the additional requirements they were asking of him/her. Best of luck to the both of us my friend. Please update me on your case as I will do with mine.

It was too late... I had submitted all the basic requirements except for the passed letter... I forwarded the passed letter to them after i received a letter from them last august 2013 stating that i need to submit another documents regarding my clinical cases and clinical rotation...

Hi! I'm also in the same situation as you are. I sent all the documents needed. Now, hardly waiting for their reply. It's been 2 weeks.
Any update on your application guys???
Hi there glendadumayas! Its been 6 weeks since they took the money out of my bank account and until now there is now letter/call from the CA BON. I believe this is probably from the transition to the new "breeze" system. If you go to their website, right on the top part it says the processing will be taking longer than normal because of the said change. Lets keep our hopes up and good luck to all of us who have yet to get our licenses.

It's been 2mos passed since I submitted my new application and all the requirements to ca brn.I took and passed the nclex rn on 2010.It was expired and last sept only that we arrive here in the usa.They cashout my payment last month.Since then i did'nt heard anything from the brn.I hope everything will be ok and to all who are in the same situation don't lose hope and enjoy the holidays.Merry Christmas and Advance Happy New Year!:)
Hi! Its my first time to comment but ive been active on reading posts of different members. I have the same situation, i passed nclex last 2009 and the pass letter expired last 2012.. I just came recently here in california and applied to the board 1st week of october. Until now i havent heard anything from them aside from last nov they cashout the payment.. I believe my school sent my transcript,etc 1st week december.. Any updates on your application guys? I will really appreciate your responses.. Ive been too worried about it.. Thanks in advance!

Anytime anyone wants to mail off time sensitive documents or just to know if it's been received, always send them by a carrier and pay the extra fees so that you get a tracking number and can at least look on-line as to the delivery status of your documents. Then you can print out the information so that you have a start date of your application.
Guys, with millions and millions of letters and documents going thru mail system daily, there's always a very slight chance that it can get lost forever or misplaced somewhere between point A and point B. I know from my workplace, we have received letters that were torn open and came to us in a plastic sleeve bag, but at least we got it, sometimes a few days later to months later.
Sometimes we were told someone else's letter may have stuck on a envelope but a loose glue flap on our letter and or in processing the mail machines may accidently tear them, then they have to find from all the not so good mailers to piece them back together.
In any case, hope you get good news soon. You should be able to find out from the money order issuer if it has been "cashed".

I totally agree with you about the conventional mail system.
But, with regards to the transcripts and forms to be submitted from the school, are they allowed to send this to BRA CA thru forwarding companies (UPS,FEDEX) or just by an ordinary mail/registered mail.
I understand that we could request the school to forward this through UPS/FEDEX and the like, as long as we shoulder the expenses. But would BRN CA accept/allow this?
