Passed CA NCLEX 2008, just got SSN this 2012, applied for CA-RN license

Hi to all! I passed the nclex last 2008. I just got my SSN last month as an employer based immigrant. Just a week ago, I submitted my Completed Application for Licensure by Examination including a U.S. social security number as instructed by the CA BON. My school also forwarded the needed documents.

My questions are:

Has someone gone through the same thing as I am?

What happened?

Did they release your license or not?

If yes: How long did you wait for your license?

If not: What did they say? Can you send me a copy? Did they make you do further studies?

--As i have said, I am on employment based petition, so with this, my employer is waiting for my license. With this, my life is on hold. I hope to be enlightened with this. Thank you so much.

Congrats at least you got your license no. Called the Bon twice today to ask about the entity no. And was told that its like a file no. How many digits is your license no.?

3. Clinical portion of Transcript and/ or Related Learning Experience (RLE)

Idk what is meant by yhe 3rd requirements esp the RLE. What should I do?

Sounds like they are asking for your case study notes to ensure clinical and theory was done at the same time

Those were the requirements that your college should send to the Ca BRN. Have you requested them from your school? If your college have sent them and you have a tracking, make a phone call to the BRN and tell them that it was mailed.

Mine was sent by my college, was received by BRN signed by their employee but unfortunately got lost on their mailroom. If that's the case, it will be gone for good.. but then, you have to provide what they were asking for them to continue the processing of your license.

I also received a letter just like that, asking for the same requirements. My credentials from school were assessed by CGFNS for visa screen purpose, they will keep those in their files if I'm not mistaken, four years. If you read my sentiments before, I ordered the eDAS for ($225) from CGFNS to forward those documents to BRN but without the breakdown. It took 4-5 days for BRN to receive the papers. Even if Im not sure by my move, I gambled by paying more. Approximately two weeks from the receipt, BRN acknowledge that they have the papers and that it will be forwarded to the analyst. Still I was worried because the EDUCATIONAL BREAKDOWN FORM should be provided by the college and I have no idea whats going on on my application. I left messages on my analyst voicemail box and also sent an email if she will still be needing the educational breakdown, but I didn't hear a single reply. But then a I was approved of license without the breakdown. It took me 19 days to finally see my license number on breeze. Well, I'm just saying.....but you can always request them again from you college for a smaller fee.

I think it will be alright. If they want your cases they will ask for it now like academic calendar and stuff.

Yeah I remember u requested an Edas service from cgfns. I also have a file on Cgfns but it cost too much. Maybe I have to request from my school but I am worried about the RLE that they are requesting.

Don't you have a copy of your RLE? IT should be given to you together with your TOR after your graduation. I believe the school have your files kept and that includes the RLE. When you request for those in your school make sure the college includes your RLE.

The reason I opted for the CGFNS is that they act faster than my school. It should be, consider charging a huge amount of dollars more than the license application itself. If I ask the college again for my papers, I will have to wait for a month for those while a maximum of 5 days for CG. PLUS, if the letter you received was the same as mine, it says (under those 3 specified requirements they need), to give them a minimum of one month, to touch and review the application again. Thats a lot of waiting and wasted time to consume.

Yes, I received the license card via mail, after 5 days they've posted the number and the certification after 7 days.
