Hi to all! I passed the nclex last 2008. I just got my SSN last month as an employer based immigrant. Just a week ago, I submitted my Completed Application for Licensure by Examination including a U.S. social security number as instructed by the CA BON. My school also forwarded the needed documents.
My questions are:
Has someone gone through the same thing as I am?
What happened?
Did they release your license or not?
If yes: How long did you wait for your license?
If not: What did they say? Can you send me a copy? Did they make you do further studies?
--As i have said, I am on employment based petition, so with this, my employer is waiting for my license. With this, my life is on hold. I hope to be enlightened with this. Thank you so much.
I got a mail from the BRN asking for copies of my SSN card, school diploma, and accomplished name change form (i think they were able to retrieve my previous record since the mail was addressed to my maiden name). I was able to talk to my licensing analyst this morning to clarify if the school needs to send another copy of the requirements asked from them (transcript, educational breakdown, and rle) because it has already been sent momths before my application. Fortunately, there is no need to send another one as she already found it in my file. I had delays getting my state id which is a requirement for the livescan. She said that she will transfer my records to another person whom I found out to be a program technician. I thought that the licensing analysts are the people responsible for approval/denial. Anyway, I hope that they would not ask for any more requirements from me. So nervous... hoping for my license soon....

I was also asked to accomplish the name change form. I talked to my analyst earlier and she suggested that I just email all the requirements she has asked. That made everything very fast. I'm so happy
I got to know the name of my analyst because she sent me a mail asking for some documents. When I called the Brn this morning, they just connected me to her. :)
Oh okay. Sounds good. I tried calling BRN a bunch of times but I couldn't connect. Anyway, I'm still waiting for the documents from my school to be sent. Hopefully, it'll be smoothsailing from there. I'm happy for you. :)
Thank you! I was really happy I thought I was going to faint. Lol. Hopefully all goes well with yours too. I called earlier at about 8am, but my analyst was not there yet. So I called 30 minutes after, and I was able to talk to her. I did not have a hard time connecting unlike what everyone said. Maybe it was just for me. I had a different feeling today. Everything just fell into place :)
hi everyone, this thread is very helpful, i also passed nclex 2009 but just got my ssn this year 2016, passed all the reqts last aug. still waiting for their feedback, they already cashed my check week after they received my application. i hope everything goes well too. still praying that i will still get my license. í ½í¹í ¼í¿» any updates from BON??
@grazie12, do you have any update from your application. I also sent my application Aug. 25 and checked was already encashed. Have you requested for TOR from your school?
yes my school passed the TOR, BON received it already. no update yet still waiting, I saw the processing time, 10-12weeks waiting. I passed my application Aug 10, they cashed the check aug 23. hope we get our licenses soon. Im praying everyday also checking it at nursys
