  1. Thank you! I was really happy I thought I was going to faint. Lol. Hopefully all goes well with yours too. I called earlier at about 8am, but my analyst was not there yet. So I called 30 minutes after, and I was able to talk to her. I did not have a hard time connecting unlike what everyone said. Maybe it was just for me. I had a different feeling today. Everything just fell into place :)
  2. I got to know the name of my analyst because she sent me a mail asking for some documents. When I called the Brn this morning, they just connected me to her. :)
  3. Thank you! No need to register in Breeze. You can just go to Verify License to see if your name is already in the list. :) I was also asked to accomplish the name change form. I talked to my analyst earlier and she suggested that I just email all the requirements she has asked. That made everything very fast. I'm so happy
  4. I just saw my name in BREEZE right after posting. I'm so happy!! Good luck everyone!
  5. I got a mail from the BRN asking for copies of my SSN card, school diploma, and accomplished name change form (i think they were able to retrieve my previous record since the mail was addressed to my maiden name). I was able to talk to my licensing analyst this morning to clarify if the school needs to send another copy of the requirements asked from them (transcript, educational breakdown, and rle) because it has already been sent momths before my application. Fortunately, there is no need to send another one as she already found it in my file. I had delays getting my state id which is a requirement for the livescan. She said that she will transfer my records to another person whom I found out to be a program technician. I thought that the licensing analysts are the people responsible for approval/denial. Anyway, I hope that they would not ask for any more requirements from me. So nervous... hoping for my license soon....
  6. As far as I can remember, I only sent a photocopy of my license because they only asked for "a copy of your license or diploma that allows you to practice professional nursing inthe country where you were educated". I think a certified true copy or even just a photocopied one will do. :)
  7. Application package was received Feb 25. Check encashed Mar 25. I hope it doesn't take too long...
  8. Hi! It's just like applying for the first time. Send a new application form together with a copy of your pass letter and all other requirements. California does not require CGFNS. I'm in the same situation as you and I am still waiting for the board's response. Hoping for the best, of course :)
  9. Hi! I just submitted my application to the board. Hopefully, they will not be asking anymore for my cases. Anyone who got their licenses recently without problems? :)
  10. Thanks! Just to be sure, which form should I fill out - application for licensure by examination or reapply for examination? As I read, reapply for examination is only applicable to those who have previously taken the NCLEX in CA and did not pass. So I have to apply like a first time applicant, right?
  11. Hi! May I know what happened to your application? I am actually going to the US soon and just like you my file has already been abandoned since I was not able to give any SSN years ago. Anyone out there who got their license recently without having to pass the clinical cases?
  12. Not yet. I have to wait for the petition to be approved. Once I get there and obtain my ssn, then I will send my application.
  13. Any updates? I have passed the nclex last 2009. I was not able to get my ca license due to the ssn requirement. I am now just waiting for my petition to be approved. Is there any chance that I will not be subjected to the concurrency rule?
  14. Any other hospitals who sponsor foreign nurses? Generally, is it really that hard to find those hospitals?
  15. Thanks for the reply! Actually, I would want to work in either of the 2 states. I just want to know which state processes faster but my decision will not be based on that, of course. There are more things to be considered and I'm not really in a hurry to leave for the US. I plan to work here for at least 1-2 years (given that I pass the local boards) while at the same time processing my papers. Maybe what I should have asked was "Which state has an 'easier' process in terms of requirements to be accomplished (easier in the sense that less procedures are to be done, or maybe less money is involved)?" I would just like to know. I've read about the CVS for NY and CES for NJ and it seems to me that there are more procedures to be done with NJ. Did I get that right? Correct me if I'm wrong. Regarding the working experience required in NY: Thanks for that information. I never heard of that. :)
