Hi to all! I passed the nclex last 2008. I just got my SSN last month as an employer based immigrant. Just a week ago, I submitted my Completed Application for Licensure by Examination including a U.S. social security number as instructed by the CA BON. My school also forwarded the needed documents.
My questions are:
Has someone gone through the same thing as I am?
What happened?
Did they release your license or not?
If yes: How long did you wait for your license?
If not: What did they say? Can you send me a copy? Did they make you do further studies?
--As i have said, I am on employment based petition, so with this, my employer is waiting for my license. With this, my life is on hold. I hope to be enlightened with this. Thank you so much.

Hi rhowie, as for your first concern you can definitely use your married name when applying. Just make sure you attach your marriage certificate together with the other important documents (old passing letter etc.) when you re-apply. I also believe they have a form for name change but if you think you file has expired then no need for that.
For your last question I think it is not possible to endorse something that is expired. The best way to do it is get your CA license then apply for endorsement to whatever state you want. Hope this helps and good luck!
But they are not endorsing because they have no license to endorse. Just because letter is several years old doesn't mean it isn't of any use however the state may require something from the BRN which they can provide for a small fee
Hi Rhowie! Just wanted to let you know that I also used my married name on my application. I attached a copy of my marriage certificate with my application. I do not have my license yet but upon checking for my application status on BREEZE, my pending status is already under my married name.

My friend also had the same thing, but she took the exam in the Philippines, she went to Sacramento and brought the paperworks from BON because at first the BON wants her to take some classes but when she showed her documents that she passed, the lady in the BON apologized to her and gave her a temporary license later that night her name appeared at the Board's website with the license number and after 3 days she got her license in the mail.

But the most recent one, I have sent last Jan 22 and was received by the BON last Jan 24. My question is, how long will does it usually take them to deposit my bank check? Because up to now the check still have yet to be deducted from my account.

Hey Jovenrn, mine took about 6 weeks till they took the money from my bank. And another 2 months till i saw my name online. Remember whatever additional documents they ask from you provide it as soon as possible to help hasten your application. Good luck to you!

Now time to look for a job! I applied 1st week of december and got a letter for docs around 2nd week of jan. Sent them a few days later then saw my name listed today, feb 21. So it took me around almost 3 months. It is so worth the wait! :)
