Pasadena City College ADN Program

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey, guys.

I'm planning on applying for the ADN program for Fall 2019. I went to the PCC nursing website and it states that students are required to take physical activity (2 units). I took a physical activity class which was only a 1 unit class. Do I need to take another activity class? Is it really required? Please help!

@Vika22 This is good info., thank you.

Does anyone know if Chem 51 from LACCD is equivalent to any of the Chem pre-req courses listed for Pasadena? The titles are different so now I’m concerned.

I believe that chem 22 is equivalent to chem 51 at PCC but check with a counselor to be 100% sure.

It is not required to apply, but it is required in order to graduate and receive your ADN.

Thank you!

I will have 75 points if I could get my husband to find his DD214! Otherwise I will only have 70 points. Not sure if it’s worth it to apply especially since it’s so far from me. ?

Hi, I took Chem 51 at ELAC. When I met a counselor at PCC, I was told that Chem 51 can be considered as the chem prerequisite class at PCC.

I only have 70 points I’m wondering if anyone knows the cutoff last year

If it helps, I had 73 last semester and was an alternate who did not make it into the program. However, since chemistry is a new requirement, the points may be lower this semester.

Do you mind sharing what alternate number you were? Just curious if alternates actually have a chance of getting in.

Does anyone know when about this program would start if accepted? I’m thinking of taking a summer course and want to make sure it doesn’t m end up conflicting. I applied to other schools as well so I’m asking around.

They haven’t given alternate numbers in the past and won’t give you any info about where you stand. You either get an email or call by the deadline or you don’t.

Oh wow, so secretive. That sucks. Thanks for the info.

I hate that all these schools acceptance dates are at different times.
