Pasadena City College ADN Program

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey, guys.

I'm planning on applying for the ADN program for Fall 2019. I went to the PCC nursing website and it states that students are required to take physical activity (2 units). I took a physical activity class which was only a 1 unit class. Do I need to take another activity class? Is it really required? Please help!

It says 8 weeks from the close of the deadline. But for the spring, it was less than 4 weeks, I think.

When I applied last year, we didn't hear back till early-mid august.

I heard back mid-July last fall. The timeline sped up for the spring semester, thankfully.

Did anyone else re-take the TEAS exam this weekend? Is everyone else's TEAS score from an approved ATI testing site, or paper/pencil version taken at Cal State LA?

I had to re-take the TEAS this weekend at Cal State due to PCC's strict TEAS requirements. I am hoping the results are posted by the morning so I can turn in my application since tomorrow is the deadline.

I took TEAS at Calstate LA in January (paper/pencil version). I submitted that and had no issues so far. It took few days to get TEAS results after taking exam. Sorry to hear you had to retake!

Does anyone have an update regarding when Pasadena will be sending out notifications?

The site says 8 weeks after the close of the application period. Could be more, could be less.

It took them about 4 weeks for the spring 2019 semester.

Sorry I couldn't offer any more info. They keep it all very hush hush at PCC.

I don't even know how they choose people. It doesn't seem like it's completely point based. It's almost as if you get thrown into a lottery if you meet a certain number of points. But again, I have no ACTUAL info on their process.

Does anyone know how they do it?

I really wish I knew as well. I don’t know anything about this school except that i applied last minute because the application period was still open.

Based on the threads from last year and previous years, it’s not very organized and can take months to hear back ?

Hey Everyone,

Hope most of you got an e-mail. I got mine May 28th and had to submit an intent form by May 31 at 3pm. It has to be an Adobe PDF file, not anything else so be careful. I had to re-send post- deadline because of it. But hopefully I’ll still be considered.

How many points did you have, @HowcanIhelp?

@HowcanIhelp wow did you get in? I haven't received anything from them... judging from the lack of responses I am assuming that is the case for most of us
