Parkland Residency Summer 2020

Hello everyone!

I created this thread for those who are interested or applying to the residency program at Parkland for the summer 2020. I'm hoping this thread is helpful for those wanting to talk and ask questions. Good luck to everyone!

It seems that some people have said they turned red, and then they are offered an interview, and others said it never turned red before being offered an interview. It's a mystery. Just wish they'd keep us informed of where we are at in the process (for all us anxious people, especially) ?

Yeah it very well could even just be a way of separating new grads from nurses wanting to change specialty. Or something else that’s not related to interviewing. IDK. It’s really hard to wait and not over-analyze everything!

Did you apply to any other Parkland residencies? If so, did they turn red too?

To add to the confusion mine wasn't red when it first updated to reviewing, turned red the next day, and I just checked and the date updated again and it is no longer red but still says reviewing. Who knows what it means if anything LOL but definitely interesting.

I'd also be interested to know if you had any other interviews. I find it weird that mine was not red until today, but my status changed to reviewing last week. I guess they're going through them even on the weekend.

I have not. The only other position I applied for never changed from applied until I was rejected, unfortunately.
