I got an email stating I’m an alternate if someone chooses not to accept their spot. For those who received an offer did they give you a specific date to respond by? When I asked the recruiter she said anytime until the program starts in August. Just trying to be realistic about my chances of getting a spot

I haven't heard back yet. Hoping I'm just on an alternate list after everyone responds to the first round of offers since I haven't been officially rejected yet. CONGRATS to everyone who received an offer!

Yeah I will likely accept the offer. I know how competitive it is to get a job in DFW which is why I started looking elsewhere. I've been applying since the last round of residencies. Thanks! It feels good to finally have an offer somewhere.

Thanks! It is for a NICU but it is a hospital outside of Texas. I honestly don't know a ton about the NICU specifically at Parkland, but I know they have a great reputation for developing and training nurses, especially in critical care. I had an application out for the critical care & trauma internship at Parkland as well, but I don't think I was selected to interview. They reached out to me last week regarding a question about my application and said they were reviewing it, but did not contact me again and I know they are already in the process of interviewing. Hmm maybe I can try. I just know when I interviewed the hiring manager told me that I would have a small window to accept or decline the offer so they can get back to candidates as quickly as possible.

I was really hoping we would hear back about interviews soon. I received an offer for another hospital today and I only have 24 hours to accept. Obviously I don't want to turn down an offer, but I was holding out hope for Parkland.

To add to the confusion mine wasn't red when it first updated to reviewing, turned red the next day, and I just checked and the date updated again and it is no longer red but still says reviewing. Who knows what it means if anything LOL but definitely interesting.

Anyone know if last week was the last week of interviews or are they interviewing through the end of the month?

Yes. My in person interview got cancelled the night before it was supposed to happen, but the next day the recruiter reached out and I got a Skype interview scheduled. I had it a few days ago and hope to hear back sometime this week! They will probably reach out to you soon to reschedule, but it might take them a little longer since it was a hiring event and they probably have to reschedule a large group of people.

Interesting. The person I did talk to briefly didn’t know anything about it which is why he tried to transfer me. Did you just go ahead and submit your online application then?

I tried to contact talent acquisition this morning about the short answer questions and they transferred me to someone over the residency, but she didn't answer. I left a message and also tried to email the nurse residency email they have listed under questions on the website, but it came back undeliverable. I don't want to submit my application without the needed questions so I'm hoping to get a response soon.

I know they are already scheduling interviews but is there someone to contact to get info for the application packet? The online application says the deadline is 3/15. They have the position posted online and it says the position requires supplemental documents, but I can't find any information about where to get the supplemental essay questions.
