Hello everyone!
I created this thread for those who are interested or applying to the residency program at Parkland for the summer 2020. I'm hoping this thread is helpful for those wanting to talk and ask questions. Good luck to everyone!

All this waiting is sooo hard!
They just opened the NICU residency position the 9th, so maybe they were just waiting on that. The waiting game and trying to interpret where you are within the application process is tough.

My date changed on Sunday and my status changed to red. It was initially same status, but earlier date and just black font. Sounds like they are just working through them and making decisions. Good luck to you.

Yeah, I'm wondering if they are interviewing for the fellow and the residency at the same time...

I am on med-surg floor. I got my offer in February also. I already filled the pre-employment documents they have to send u a link and you do it only. You also get an occupational health appointment where you give them all you documents of your shots, which I have this week.

Not trying to be a negative nancy for many of us that have reviewing in red, but I know someone who had statuses in red, and she did not get an interview. I am kind of thinking red means "alternate" list. I don't know for sure, but we will find out soon enough.
I agree with you. Red doesn't seem like a good color and I think an alternate list would be pretty accurate because it hasn't been changed to "Thank you for applying" (the rejection status), but I haven't been contacted for an interview. If they interview people and don't select everyone from that list then they'll call the people on the alternate list. It makes a lot of sense to me.
