I just had an interview on Monday for a nurse resident position in the NNICU. This is my dream job and I want it SOO bad, but I feel like I did not shine as bright as I could in my interview because all the questions were those situation one "tell me about a time...". I still think it went well I just wish I would have said more. I already work on a different floor as a student/tech, so I don't know how much that will affect whether or not they choose me. Any current employees or other people who applied have any information on the residency/hiring process? Is the medication test only if you get offered a position? Thanks for any feedback.
i made a 100 on the med exam as well. i guess the interview went ok. i really feel it could have went better though. i was not asked many questions at all. she started out by telling me what her ideal candidate is which encouraged and disappointed me at the same time because she said exactly what i was going to say.
Did she tell you how many people she was going to interview? I don't have any tech experience and I am not an employee of Parkland. I feel that the people who already work at Parkland will get the position before I do. Don't feel too discouraged, I felt the same way at first. As long as you told her that this is the exact position you are looking for, you did fine. I think she just descibes it at first because it may be a position that someone is not looking for. Parkland's L&D unit is tough with 4-5 patients versus a private hospital with 1-2. So I guess she just wants to be sure you know what you are getting yourself into. At least it was not a panel interview; I would have became stoic. Good Luck.

I got the review in an e-mail about an hour after I scheduled the interview. The test was super easy. The recruiter told me I could take the test before or after my interview, but some wait until they get an offer. I was told that there were only a couple more interviews this week. She said the latest offers would be made is Dec. 10th and as early as the 3rd. I also hate the waiting. Good Luck!!

Were you the one who already works at Parkland? Maybe that is the reason if so.
