Parkland Dallas, TX Nurse Residency Spring 2018

Have been looking around in search that there might have been a thread started for the current application period for Parkland Hospital Dallas, Tx Nurse Residency for Dec 2017 grads, but have not seen one so decided to start this one. Is there anyone else out there that is applying to their program im interested in ICU and ED. I have always admired the willingness of the hospital staff when it comes to educating students and new hires, not to mention all the excellent experience that can be gained in this hospital. I am currently an LVN going into the last semester of transition graduating Dec 2017 (Thank you Lord), and have found a love with the ICU and the way it pushes me to think, adapt, and evaluate situations of the human body. So who out there is ready to get this thing going and be the best nurse possible??

I had my employee health visit a couple of days ago and I noticed the RNs wearing royal blue and black. :woot:

What all did you do at your visit?

I had a urine drug test, blood drawn for immunity testing, and a respirator fit test. I was up to date with all of immunizations, so I did not have to get any.

Congratulations! Did they email it to you? I haven't received mine yet but I have a BLS CPR class on Friday to renew my certification. I've already had my occupational health appointment so I'm thinking after I'm "cleared" they will go ahead with the contract. It is so exciting!

I sent in my renewed CPR card and have had my health visit too last week so I hope I get my contract soon too! I am so excited to start, I only have a little over 2 weeks until I start in beginning of February. And I take my NCLEX next friday on the 26! So I am a ball of nerves and excited all at once trying to make sure I pass!

pardon me for butting in, but will you please share with me the link or website for applying to ER residency program? I greatly appreciate your help. I'm trying to help my daughter who graduates in May.

There are not any residency positions posted on their career page currently. They had one up for a couple days last week that I am interviewing for next week but they took the post down after a couple of days.

Keep checking their career page cause positions are usually not up long and next one does not start until June, I think

Yes, I received it via e-mail as well as the welcome letter.
