Hi everyone, decided to start a thread for the Fall 2021 cohort since one wasn’t created yet. (Super early, I know LOL) I was accepted for Fall 2020 but decided to defer. Would love to connect with those who’ve applied/been accepted.

I submitted Jan 31st.. getting quite nervous that I may have waited too long. Feeling as though this may negatively impact my app.. was wondering when others submitted who are still waiting! Good luck to everyone ❤️

I submitted Jan 15th, but my portal has changed since Monday, but haven’t received a decision. Checklist still there, no counselor info nor the sentence above saying “complete and under review” ..

This happened to someone else on this thread except her checklist went away for 2 days, came back and stayed for another 3, and she got rejected ?.. and from the trend I've noticed that, acceptances have happened on Tuesdays.. only one person randomly received an acceptance on a Friday in the middle of the night. And I haven’t really heard of many rejections.

Supposedly the cohort is only 80 students. The facebook page has 15 members for this cohort, we can take into consideration the people not on this thread and the people who havent joined facebook page, but from previous facebook groups for ABSN I have noticed that most have a range of 70-100 members.. its really hard to inform the forum once rejected but I have only heard of 2 On this thread!

It definitely is nerve wrecking, and I'm sure everyone still waiting on a decision from no matter what school/program can relate to this statement, but at this point it's just a matter of time passing by until we get a decision... but what I do want to say is don't loose hope and continue to manifest it! What I have also noticed from the previous thread (2020) is that decisions went out for months after deadline, even those who were on the waiting list were accepted way later. Days go by and it's the same dreadful screen logging into the application portal with the checklist there, but as corny as it sounds, what is meant to be WILL be. I am not a very optimistic person when it comes to this, in fact I am a nervous wreck during this entire application process, but I keep reminding myself no news is also good news. Stay positive!! Hoping some good luck is to come our way?

Yesss!! I couldn’t have said this better. I am a wreck with this whole process, and thank you for reminding me I’m not the only one and to stay positive. I am feeling more optimistic about NYU at this point where as in the beginning it was the opposite. What is meant to be will be. I started this journey in 2013 and I always chickened out when it came to appying to my CUNY schools because I was always told the my C+ was not good enough. I then decided to major in public health and find myself in that field. When I applied this time around it was more of “just to see what happens” and sooo all though its so much what I want and what I have wanted for so long, I have learned to accept that it might not be. I am a bit on the older side (35) and I have a daughter, sooo ill give it a rest after this and continue on. But yes cheers to almost Friday and lets stay positive, I've said this before, but GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!

Hey, just want to give you some hope! I applied on Feb 1 and received an acceptance last week. Also, reading other forums people were accepted well into the Summer! Definitely don't give up hope!

I think they do a few rounds of admissions/rejections! So as far as I can see you are still in the running, your application may just be in another round of reviews
