Pace University ABSN Fall 2021

Hi everyone, decided to start a thread for the Fall 2021 cohort since one wasn’t created yet. (Super early, I know LOL) I was accepted for Fall 2020 but decided to defer. Would love to connect with those who’ve applied/been accepted.

This morning around 10 AM, I still had the blurb on top of my checklist saying that my application is still under review. However, when I checked around 3PM, the little blurb was gone so I expected a response soon so all that means is that you will be receiving a response, whether it is an acceptance or rejection so II wouldn't fret too much about the blurb gone. My friend received her response around 6PM so I checked 5:57PM and then refreshed exactly at 6PM and got my acceptance. 

My Prerequisite Grades are as follows:

Anatomy & Physiology I with lab: A
Anatomy & Physiology II with lab: A-
Microbiology with lab: B+
General Chemistry I: C+ 
General Chemistry II: A
Introductory Psychology: A
Statistics: A

My cumulative GPA is 3.52. 

I had LORs from my English and Chemistry professors. I volunteered at two hospitals and a clinic. I shadowed as well. My personal statement was pretty strong I'd say. 

Congrats!! 
I keep refreshing and nothing. Only change was the sentence above and my counselor info is gone. Checklist still there. Probably get an answer by tomo, I shall wait patiently. Thanks for your info.

So now I have lost hope. Most people who had the blurb disappear above checklist heard back later in the day either got accepted or waitlisted, and anyone who’s checklist disappeared (mine is still there) and didn’t hear back the same day, but rather days later was rejected. I only lose hope because I don’t consider myself a strong candidate due to my 3.3 GPA and a C in pre req, I try to to stay optimistic, but I've been down this rodeo before and must protect my heart as well.

Nooo don’t count yourself out just yet! Even if you don’t get in it’s not over. Once I came back to finish my undergrad degree after medical leave it took me 3 semesters at community college to get my scholarship back to finish, keep your head up and stay persistent. You’re a good candidate and you haven’t even gotten rejected yet.

I was accepted with a C+ in one of my prereqs! Definitely don't lose hope!! I really think they look at the overall picture like if you have shown improvement, etc.

Hi! I'm new here but just read through about 14 pages of posts LOL.. anyway my application was submitted on 9/15/20 (super early since some of the other programs I applied to have a May start date & I was hoping to hear back sooner). I am SHOCKED that it is now March and I am still waiting to hear back.  I have been awaiting an email but just checked my application and it doesn't look like anything has changed.  It still says "Your application is complete and under review. We look forward to providing you with a notification following the application deadline", my checklist is still visible, as well as my admissions counselors information.

I recently put down a $500 deposit for Umass to secure my spot (being the only acceptance I got so far).  However, I am still waiting to hear back from Pace, Miami, Northeastern's Charlotte campus, and Med U in Charleston SC. I would love to move down south (I'm from NY) but would also love to spend a year in the city & am hoping for the best with Pace's program.  My only concern is cost $$$$.

Right now I am finishing my undergrad at Binghamton with a BS in integrative neuroscience & a double minor.  I have about a 3.35 overall and A's in gen chem & bio, stats, and psych. I have B & B- in AP & C in microbio (which are all super challenging at my school).  I have a lot of volunteer experience in hospitals and also am an EMT & have volunteering locally throughout the pandemic.

Its pretty frustrating to still be waiting because I want to know my plans for next year! I also know some programs are leaning more towards grades than experiences which doesn't do me any favors.  But good luck to everyone still waiting decisions & congrats to those who got in so far!

have any of you applied for financial aid? I wonder if they offer anything....

I was accepted yesterday! I am really excited and I have a lot to consider so knowing more about how everyone is making their decisions would be really helpful ?

 (stats: 3.0 chem undergrad, 3.4 engineering masters, all A's in prereqs except B+ in stats & Microbiology)

Congrats to everyone who got accepted ? I have my admission counselor info. disappeared as well. Could you guys give a screenshot of how an acceptance page would look like on the portal, if you are comfortable with sharing it?

Hey guys, I'm still considering between Pace, LIU, and College of Mount St. Vincent. What influenced your decision in choosing Pace over other programs? I'm mainly deciding between Pace and LIU. I'm worried that Pace's 11 month program will be too rigorous for me, especially since I heard majority of the students fail out or switch to the 2 yr program.
