I don’t believe its comes down to grades . I was waitlisted last year and had (still have) alot of years of experience from volunteering to working in a hospital for the past 5 yrs. But this year I interviewed earlier and submitted my application all the way in late September. I believe its a combination of things and applying early really does help.

wow thanks! that makes me feel a little better. i was originally applying to PA school and thats how it was if you apply SUPER SUPER early you have an increased chance. i didnt realize that was the case with a lot of nursing schools. if i knew i would have applied the day it opened. when you re applied was your experinces and grades still the same?

I applied to PA school as well and know the painful process . My experience did not change so much but my grades did so my cumulative increased a bit. I retook a prerequisite for another school that had a 5 yr cut off and got a better grade. So I'm sure that also help. Don't give up if this is what you really want to do.

Do you remember how long it took for you to hear back from being on the waitlist? Like when did they tell you there were no more spots or that you didn’t make it into the program?

WOW!! I'm graduating with my bachelors in social work this June. Nice to know there's another social worker in this forum ? I have experience in the DOE (middle school students) and SCO with families and children ages 3-5. I also put that my social work background is an asset for this nursing program in my essay. I am interviewing march 3rd. I really hope I get accepted to this program!

Awesome!! Good luck, tell us how it goes ?

I didn’t make it in the program last year. So you just ask them to roll your application materials over to the next round to reapply.

The interview is very nerve wracking at least for me. They asked the same questions as mentioned on the forum before: talk about something about yourself you have not mentioned in your application and a book you have read. You have a minute to answer each or they’ll cut you off. And you have to stand in front of the class to give your response. They were direct with what the program consist of basically no BSing.
My stats are Anatomy-Physiology 1 and 2 both A- Micro B Statistic B+ Orgo B my lowest was general chem with C+ and Nutrition A

Thank you! Seriously it was! And I was so nervous. I said to myself that I was denied like I new it. When I got home I got an acceptance from College of Mount Saint Vincent so I knew I was done from Pace but then I checked my email and I saw the acceptance. I couldn’t believe it! You guys got this! There’s hope! You have a possibility!

Aside from the name of the book did you mention anything else?
