We pretty much have the standard gradingA= 90-100
B= 80-89
Only in our school, anything below a B is failing.
:uhoh21: I think that's scary! Although I did well in pre-reqs...This is my 1st semester of Nurs classes...so I'm not sure what to expect yet!

edited for spelling! Gulp!
I would rather have your scale (80=B) then ours (80=C). Doesn't drag down the GPA as much!
Ours is:
94-100 = A
87-93= B
80-86= C
Ours is:
94-100 = A
85-93 =B
77-84=C
Anything below 77= you just failed. The only rounding done is at the end of the semester for your final grade. For example if your final grade is a 84.5 then that =85 which will give you a B. But no leeway is given on individual tests, exams, or quizzes. Also even our quizzes are comprehensive. I think it's good cause it requires you to learn the material vs. memorize it. Is this the norm for other schools too?

I was just reading through the C=RN thread (very interesting!). A lot of people mentioned the grading scale at their school, and I just found out that this semester they changed the grading scale for the nursing classes at my school:
A= 89.5 - 100
B= 79.5 - 89.49
C= 75 - 79.49
Is that insane or what? In a way it's nice, but I think that I won't feel as much of a sense of accomplishment if I do get a low A, because I will know that it's not *really* an A.
But then part of me realizes I should drop the stupid pride and take what I can get, because the next two years are going to be HARD.
