I just got a 69 on my latest microbiology exam. It's the worst grade I have recieved since being at college this year. I have three exams left and a lecture GPA of about a 78 at the moment. Ugh, I need to kick my ass into gear and start churning out some 90s or something. What's frustrating is that this was supposed to be one of the "easier" exams....guess not.

I don't mean to be rude but i don't really see a question here.
But on a friend note, just study harder, its all built upon itself, so i'm sure you can pull your grade up with some serious hard work.

Did you take A&P yet? What I did was took A&P1 during spring semester, then I took micro during the summer, then A&P2 the following summer (4 week course). I found micro easier than A&P. Just study hard for your last couple of exams, you can do it :)
No question here. I just felt like venting.

I loved Microbiology!
I took it during the summer over 5 weeks, and had class everyday. I wish it was longer, haha.
I received an A+ and I think I just had an amazing professor, the right resources, and the discipline to study every day.
I watched videos online, and kept my lab journal in tip-top shape. I was obsessed with making it as complete and accurate as possible, and look pretty too! It really helped me because I am a visual learner.
If you need help with any material, just ask here. I'm sure we would be able to help.

Don't stress. I got a 69 on one of my lab exams and a 75 on my last lecture exam. I just didn't study, no other excuse. I'm just having to kick ass the rest of the semster.
Yeah. It's my own fault, really. I didn't study enough. I knew exactly which questions I was going to get wrong during the exam too. All the ones I guessed on I got incorrect.

It's actually a good thing that you were able to pick out the questions that you knew you would get wrong. That means you have a good idea of how much you need to study and how you need to change that.
Make sure that you change that today. Start studying well before the exam...weeks before. The more you cram before the test, the more likely you will fail. Change the habit before you start nursing school.
Nursing school is heavy duty. The tests and information never stops flying at you. Make sure you always keep up with information and study whenever you can.

Micro can definitely make you or break you. Flash cards, and taping lectures helped me a lot. Also study groups helped me too (make sure they're with the right people though) things will get better. I wish you the best of luck!!!

I know how you feel. I did not do well on my first exam in microbio. But I knew I had to kick it up a knotch in my studying. It's not fun, but that's what you have to do. Don't feel bad about it. The fact that you can still take a couple more tests is a good thing!
I ended up with a B in micro bio and a C in my statistics prereq. But hey, it was still meeting the requirement for the schools I applied to and what do you know, I recently got accepted into an accelerated bsn program. You'll be okay, just study a bit more for the next tests and try the your best.
Best of luck in your studies!! You can do it :)!
