Hey! Has anyone else applied to the absn program for 2019? Or heard back yet? I applied to Lawton in the spring and to OKC for summer.

I felt so confident after gen chem then moved to org chem and have never EVER felt so dumb.
That is helpful! My professor is super patient with me, but I feel so ridiculous asking questions. I had to explain to him that I am SUPER Type-A. He thinks I am hilarious for being wrecked with worry. His grading style is a bit odd, so I have had difficulty grasping his style. Hoping for the best though! Just want an A!

I do not have kids, but I have a HUGE family here in Texas. Worried about missing out on their lives. I am planning a wedding though, so my stress value is out the roof!
ok my friends, I made some phone calls today because and I called three different people because I like data. The answers I got were: between mid March and early April, in the next 5-6 days, and the 2nd or 3rd week of March. So there you have it. Sometime this week or maybe not until April. ?♀️

Oh, wow! Surely the decisions for ABSN will be made by mid-March, right? I know they’re inundated with applications but the program starts so soon. Thanks for being brave and calling! I know we’re all feverishly checking our email hoping we hear something daily.

I would think so. I have to say the person that said within the next week, asked if I had checked my nursingcas account (nothing has changed). But she seemed to be surprised that we hadn’t heard yet, but mentioned she’d been out of the office too. She seemed to be the most “in the know”, while the others seemed to just be repeating what they’ve been told. That being said, I don’t think I’ll call again until the 15th.

That is quite terrifying. Hopefully it's within the next week. There is so much prep time needed to get ready for a program like this. I am worried about FAFSA and all the financial aspects. This torture seems endless.
Wow, thanks for calling!! I really need the “5-6 days” lady to Be right! I think I would lose it if I had to waiting until April.
What status do you guys have in nursingcas? Mine just says “verified”. I wonder if it will update immediatley upon acceptance or if we will get an email first....

Me too! I’m trying really hard not to check my email every 5 minutes.
She did say that notification would come by email, first from nursingcas and then from OUHSC. My status also just says “verified”. There’s also a way to check status on OUHSC’s website and mine there just says “pending”.
I have no idea of the status will change at all or when.
Since they only go off of GPA, you’d think it would be a pretty straight forward process. Makes me wonder how many applications they get.
I know admission results aren't out yet but....
Does anyone have insight as to what we are expected to wear?
Do we wear scrubs even to class? Or professional to class and scrubs only to clinicals. Or is business casual okay for class?
I currently have a second job at a retail store. I'm putting in my two weeks this week. Regardless of whether or not I get in to the program. However, if I need a lot of professional clothes, I would like to buy them while my discount is still active.
