  1. The schedule is complex. Plan to be in class or studying Monday-Friday 8-5. Your clinicals start earlier in the morning. The most important thing is to be flexible and keep a planner with you with all assignment due dates, class times, etc. in it because it’s a lot to keep up with, especially at first.
  2. Yes, I’m in the Tulsa cohort. What specific questions do you have about the schedule? I’m not sure I have all the answers, but hopefully I can help.
  3. Hi! It sounds like you have a pretty solid GPA and your pre-reqs are almost done so that’s great. I’m not super sure about the stats of my cohort but I think you’d be a pretty competitive applicant. Good luck with your application! :)
  4. I got an email from OU saying I’m “Alternate Status.” No worries. They said sometimes they work through their entire alternate list and other years, they never touch it. We’ll just see. I wonder how many people they put on the alternate list. Congratulations to everyone that got admitted!
  5. OMG that’s seriously so helpful! Thank you! I was losing my mind wondering why my status hasn’t changed. ?
  6. Or are they working alphabetically? I haven’t received anything either. I’m wondering if they’re working on one campus at a time, A-Z, etc. surely they’d let us know even if we were waitlisted or denied. Everything of mine still says pending. I sure hope I get good news today!
  7. I definitely agree! That’s why there’s coffee and concealer. I think it’s especially true if any employers ever come to visit. I know in my boyfriend’s nursing program, employers came in to recruit and catered lunch frequently throughout the semesters. Dress to impress!
  8. Oh, wow! Surely the decisions for ABSN will be made by mid-March, right? I know they’re inundated with applications but the program starts so soon. Thanks for being brave and calling! I know we’re all feverishly checking our email hoping we hear something daily.
  9. At the Nursing School Sneak Peak back on Feb 18th, they said they were hoping to get the admission decisions out within the next 3 weeks (right about mid-March like the website says). Has anyone heard any different? They also said ABSN decisions will be released before the traditional program since the accelerated students start in the summer.
  10. The website says Lawton has an average approximate number of 16 seats - so they accepted 4 extra? That’s really cool! Maybe resources available at the OKC and Tulsa campuses will also allow them to accept a larger cohort.
  11. Tulsa Campus for me. I’m not really in a position to move anywhere like Lawton or OKC. All my eggs are definitely in one basket. ?
  12. Hi everyone! I know I’m late to the comment game but I’m super nervous, too! I’d love if the admission decisions were released today. Fingers crossed!
