  1. It's like reading my life story. The EXACT thing happened to me, except I am from Texas and I graduated with a BS in Speech Language Pathology. I graduated in the top 5% of my college class and have double 4.0 gpa in science and my regular coursework. I was just missing General Chemistry and A&P 2. The lady told me she was sorry, but "when comparing apples with apples", the one with all the pre-reqs looks better, regardless of GPA.
  2. not even waitlisted. I called and talked to Angela Thomas. She used the apples and apples analogy. It looks better if you have all the pre-reqs done, regardless of GPA. She felt bad.
  3. was told by an academic advisor that not having all the pre-reqs completed by the time application was okay. got denied for not having complete coursework. i have a 4.0 GPA in coursework and science. I am currently enrolled in my last two pre-reqs and will finish May 11th. Livid. Congrats to everyone else though.
  4. no emails yet. not even in my junk. weird
  5. Can we take an online CPR course?
  6. That is quite terrifying. Hopefully it's within the next week. There is so much prep time needed to get ready for a program like this. I am worried about FAFSA and all the financial aspects. This torture seems endless.
  7. I do not have kids, but I have a HUGE family here in Texas. Worried about missing out on their lives. I am planning a wedding though, so my stress value is out the roof!
  8. That is helpful! My professor is super patient with me, but I feel so ridiculous asking questions. I had to explain to him that I am SUPER Type-A. He thinks I am hilarious for being wrecked with worry. His grading style is a bit odd, so I have had difficulty grasping his style. Hoping for the best though! Just want an A!
  9. Also, just a general question to the public, did anyone struggle with Gen Chem???? I feel like an idiot in this class! I am a smart person and I pride myself on my organization skills, but this class seems too theoretical for me! I literally sweat while my professor is writing math problems!
  10. still nothing!!!!
  11. That makes me so sad! This is my dream school! I have to know though, does nursing school require you to change your view of thinking? I’ve read that you have to look at nursing school and nursing in a completely different light. The questions on tests are harder, decisions are harder, even finding the best study method is harder! I need to know that it’s possible to succeed! I’m just super nervous!
  12. Y'all, this is all too much. I applied for the OKC as my preference, but I am almost positive it is an "all campus" thing. I also applied to the traditional route as well. Here's to hoping it's soon. I need to move out of Texas ASAP!
  13. Are we sure about the first week of February? I’m worried about my chances. I’m working on my last two pre-reqs right now and will be done in May. But, my science and last 60 hour GPA is 4.0, so I’m hoping they’ll accept me!
