I am Wency, a registered nurse in the Philippines. I recently passed the IELTS (8.5, 7,7,7) and the NMC part 1 competency test which is the CBT. Now, I am preparing for the final test which is the OSCE. I am currently in the United Kindom particularly in Lincolnshire, and I would like to ask you guys if you know a training agency in the UK that provides training or preparatory course for OSCE because I am not confident to take it yet for some reasons that the Uk healthcare system is different from the Philippines perhaps they have different approach in providing care to the patients and etc.
Tuition fee for intensive revision for OSCE is not a problem as long as I can enroll for revision.
Hi! Can someone please share your notes to me on Assessment, ANTT, BLS and specially implementation. Im about to sit my osce this december and its really frustrating. Here's my email [email protected]. TIA!
I passed my resit!!!! All the pingponging of emails and mails with NMC to satisfy them with regards to my Egypt documents are all behind me now!! 24 months in the making, from the old scheme to new rules!!!
tip:
They cannot fail you for being too cautious like putting alcogel and donning gloves when removing an unsoiled dressing. Yes, in the video she didn't use gloves but you as a newly qualified nurse should think to always protect yourself.
Say it aloud! Practise! Practise! Do your own dialogues/monologue and memorise them! It helps as it's very anxious being tested in person!!!
Hi.can i pls get ur email? Im sitting the osce nextmonth.tnx
I have just received my results today and I passed! The best Christmas present I can get. Thank you to all nurses here who have shared their experiences and from sienna of gumtree who has been amazingly like my angel who helped me. I Passed in 2 sittings. Tips. Don't forget to wash your hands or decontaminate often. No one fails doing this too much and don't forget to mention what you will document, read everything out loud on implementation stage including prescribers name and lastly Smile and be confident we are all nurses anyway. Good luck to all :)
Hi guys, I am due to sit the OSCE for the first time in the next few weeks and am sick at the thought of failing the exam!! I am trying to stay positive but it is difficult when so many people are failing for silly reasons. For those who have sat it already on the BLS station is calling for help sufficient after getting no response or do you need to say " I will call 2222 and ask for an adult resus team for cardiac arrest in ...." Or are people just hitting the emergency call button after shouting for help? And also is it just the one scenario of bls because 15mins is a long time to do CPR!!Thanks in advance and good luck to my fellow test takers!!!
hi there. You activate emergency button when pt found unresponsive then when you have checked pt is not breathing that's when you ask the assessor to dial 2222. Hope this make sense
Congrats.would u be kind enough to help me pls..
Sitting osce in a few weeks time.
Thank you

Hi everyone, I have also failed ,
i now must re-sit ... I failed the dressing.
Do not 'flap' the bag to open it.... How you open a bag is beyond me but anyway.. I hope to resit this exam at the soonest possible date!
They also stated a few other reasons which were false accusations as I completed the things they had outlined, but I apparently did not ..
This is is so very frustrating to me considering I complete aseptic dressings daily back home as a cardiac nurse.
Just tick their boxes and you will pass that is the key to it.
Goodluck and I hope the 49% first past rate begins to increase !
