OSCE REVISION for NMC REGISTRATION

Published

I am Wency, a registered nurse in the Philippines. I recently passed the IELTS (8.5, 7,7,7) and the NMC part 1 competency test which is the CBT. Now, I am preparing for the final test which is the OSCE. I am currently in the United Kindom particularly in Lincolnshire, and I would like to ask you guys if you know a training agency in the UK that provides training or preparatory course for OSCE because I am not confident to take it yet for some reasons that the Uk healthcare system is different from the Philippines perhaps they have different approach in providing care to the patients and etc.

Tuition fee for intensive revision for OSCE is not a problem as long as I can enroll for revision.

Can anyone tell me how long after you get your pass result and pay the registration fee do you get your pin?

I checked my NMC account 24 hours after I took my second sitting and found out right there and then that I passed.

Can anyone tell me how long after you get your pass result and pay the registration fee do you get your pin?

Perfect! Thank you!

Hi guys. I partially failed my APIE on one station so have to partially resit those stations. So dissapointed and a rubbish excuse for why I failed. Can anyone tell me whether they had the same scenario or was it completely different? As I passed all the skills stations, I am hoping that I dont need to do wound care? Any feedback would be great!!

Hi anybody here who once worked in Saudi?i wanna know the documents they asked from you. I am currently in the Philippines and will not be gling back there. I am yet to take the CBT but before that I wanna make sure that I could comply with all the documents NMC is asking. I was told that it takes NMC forever to assess the documents.

Anyway, congrats to all of you who passed the OSCE.. Godbless to those who will be taking it. You can make you dreams happen. ☝️

Hi there. I used to work in Jeddah, KSA. I just recently received my DL and is scheduled to take the OSCE next month. The NMC will be asking you for the following Saudi documents: Saudi police certificate, SCFHS nursing license, Professional Accreditation Certificate and you will have to send your license verification form to the SCFHS and have them mail it directly to the NMC once filled in. I hope this helps. Good luck! :)

It's also advertised on gumtree

Hi there. I looked this up unfortunately they're sold out. would you be kind enough to lend me your copy please? I'm scheduled to take the OSCE next month. Hope to hear from you. Thank you!

Hello fellow nurses

i have qualified last month and received my PIN and soon be starting with my new job. I thank all people here in the forum who have helped me and gave feedbacks about the osce exam. I passed it after 2 sittings. I studied really hard practiced all skills everyday until I memorise it. I also have filmed myself whilst practicing to make sure I was doing the right thing. I wasn't working in any trust so I have self studied.

I purchased an osce manual for nurses on gumtree and it was a great help for me and has guided me throughout , as at first I didn't know how to approach the exam! It was a life saver for me.

Also another helpful tool was downloading an app for CPR called pocket CPR. It tells you your rate and depth. I practiced CPR, Im and wound dressing using a stuff toy! It worked for me luckily.

My advice is study and practice lots. Don't attempt the exam if you're not prepared yet because it's very expensive.

Dont forget your referrals, hand washing, prioritise pt safety and hand washing!!

I will everyone the best on your exams and I hope you all achieve your dream job.

Hello there. I hope this message finds you well. My name is Bianca and I am scheduled to sit the OSCE next month. I was looking to purchase the osce manual from gumtree unfortunately they're sold out. Would you be kind enough please to sell or lend me your copy? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Guys

Can anyone tell me if the wound dressing /care station is one of the skills stations or is it part of the APIE stations (implementation). I only have to resit the APIE as I passed skills and don't want to study for things unnecessarily. Any advise would be great!!!

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if anyone here has any kind of experience or information regarding the Overseas Nurses Programmes provided by some NHS trusts within England?

I am waiting for authorisation to do my OSCE and being out of practice for a while, I might go for one of these job programmes.

they basically employ you as a band 3 HCA and give you free training on OSCE. Then, you have to commit to post registration employment with them for at least 12 months. Anyone has any experience or more information about this?

Is it true that the second attempt to do the osce must be within 10 days from the 1st attempt?

Thanks
