Oregon License by Endorsement

Published

Hopefully some people can help me on this one. So I put my application in, paid my fees, sent over my transcripts, verified my license, and fingerprinted by February 2nd 2020. It is now March 10th 2020 and I am still hanging in limbo. About 2 weeks ago all things left my checklist and it now says "awaiting final approval from nursing board staff" or something to that effect. I have nothing that should impact my status (clean record, good grades, all requirements met). Has anyone applied for Oregon and how long did the endorsement process take you? Everything says 3-6 weeks on travel nursing sites, but the board of nursing site says in bold letters DO NOT CALL, WE DO NOT HAVE A TIMELINE. So I'm sweating on this over here. Anyone have a timeline it took them to get approved for Endorsement there?

Hi everyone,
I know this thread is old, but I wanted to inquire how long it ended up taking all of you to get your Oregon license? I am endorsing my RN license from California to Oregon. I have all my documents in but am waiting for my application to be processed and reviewed. Thanks in advance!

I am wondering the same thing! Have you had any luck? I started my application on 6/30 and two days ago it changed to awaiting final review. I'm hoping it doesn't take too much longer because I also have to apply for my NP license and my tentative start date is 8/23!

I’ve been waiting almost three weeks now for California to send my letter of verification. I submitted the request online on June 16th, and it’s still pending.

Oh gosh that's awful! I'm going from VA to OR and thankfully all my items were reviewed fairly quickly. I'm just waiting on that last final review. Hopefully yours picks up!

Unless California has picked up the pace in the past several years, don't hold your breath.  They have a history of being slow, to say the least.

Waiting on my NCLEX, initial license. Got the same message. "Outstanding Checklist Items: Awaiting final application review by staff to ensure all application requirements have been met..." <-- hasn't changed in 10 days. Ugh....meanwhile my classmates have received their licenses the same day they tested. This makes me very worried. I low-key emailed and called and was completely stonewalled.  It is very difficult being in license limbo with zero transparency.  My background check is totally clean. What on earth could be taking so long? I did finish in 75, pretty quick too. I wonder if that somehow created an issue...I'm just sad. My dream job is on the line.

I applied for my endorsement from AZ on 6/10, I’ve had the same message of awaiting final approval. I emailed them as well and they don’t really give any info except that you have to wait ?…. Very frustrating. My assignment was supposed to start tomorrow but is now pushed back because of this. I’ve never has to wait this long, my license for NM and AZ only took 2 wks. I have no idea what the hold up is.

Oh, geeze. I am sorry. It's an awful feeling not knowing what's going on. I feel like I did some wrong (probably didn't), but regardless am made to feel that way. My assignment begins in 28 days! I've already waited almost 2 weeks. ? Praying for a quick resolve.

@RN505 Let me know when it posts. I am curious on your timeline since I seem to be in the same boat.

Yes, please let me know when yours all posts. I hope it gets processed soon for everyone!

I finished in 75 in about a half hour and my test took forever for pearsonvue to verify I didn’t cheat. Will pearsonvue let you pay the $8 or whatever to see if you passed? If it doesn’t you might be under review by them.

Yes. I paid the fee and preliminary results say I passed. The BON is just taking forever to post my results and I don't know why. I did finish pretty quick - I wonder if that's it. How long did you wait for your nursing license @gere7404 ?

Couple weeks, but that was before covid. I took my NCLEX July 3rd and got my license before my start date of august 8.

I updated my mailing address and car registration with the oregon DMV back in like January and still haven’t gotten anything back…. Stuff moves sloooow at state offices here it seems.
