Keep emailing. Be polite but direct and ask for your concerns to be forwarded to a licensing manager.

Finally! 7 weeks and 5 days. I emailed the BON today. I basically said, "after passing my NCLEX 8 weeks ao & no communication from the BON, I feel completely out of the loop and I must assume I am under investigation. Please forward my concerns to somebody available to discuss my case. Not 15 minutes later I actually got an email from a licensing manager apologizing. They said they had just been busy and hadn't had a chance to complete the application. 1 minute after I got the email, my license was posted. As much as I appreciate the attention to my email, 3 others in previous weeks fell on deaf ears. If I had not emailed I would likely still not have my license. I have to wonder why others who tested as much as a month after me got their license in 24 hrs and I was made to wait 8 weeks. There is clearly a breakdown somewhere in how the licenses are processed.

My first nursing job was supposed to start today. It's pushed back because the BON has not approved my license yet. I'm at 6.5 weeks now since passing my NCLEX. I sent a polite inquiry at the 6-week mark and received an email back. However, it was basically just a form letter referring me back to the application wizard. I am still firm in my belief that I chose the right profession but I am feeling down on myself at this point due to the length of time this process is taking. ? The lack of transparency is so frustrating.

Amazing. Congrats. I'm officially 5 weeks past my NCLEX. I know my fingerprints are done. Ugh...trying to be patient. Really want to email the OSBN but am hesitant to do so.

I am glad you got a helpful response. My background check was done back in May. It had to be complete to get my ATT before the NCLEX. Today is officially the 4th week I've been waiting for my license to post. @NP Ray, are you about 4 weeks now too? I have one other classmate that has been waiting as long as I have. I figure I'll wait patiently until 6 weeks and then maybe call.

Can anyone share how long it took to get your endorsement? My application wizard has only one checklist item left "awaiting final review," which hasn't changed in 4 weeks since I passed my NCLEX.

@NP Ray Okay. So your last checklist item has said "awaiting final approval," the same amount of time that mine has. About 3 weeks.

Yes. I paid the fee and preliminary results say I passed. The BON is just taking forever to post my results and I don't know why. I did finish pretty quick - I wonder if that's it. How long did you wait for your nursing license @gere7404 ?

Oh, geeze. I am sorry. It's an awful feeling not knowing what's going on. I feel like I did some wrong (probably didn't), but regardless am made to feel that way. My assignment begins in 28 days! I've already waited almost 2 weeks. ? Praying for a quick resolve.

Waiting on my NCLEX, initial license. Got the same message. "Outstanding Checklist Items: Awaiting final application review by staff to ensure all application requirements have been met..." <-- hasn't changed in 10 days. Ugh....meanwhile my classmates have received their licenses the same day they tested. This makes me very worried. I low-key emailed and called and was completely stonewalled. It is very difficult being in license limbo with zero transparency. My background check is totally clean. What on earth could be taking so long? I did finish in 75, pretty quick too. I wonder if that somehow created an issue...I'm just sad. My dream job is on the line.

I am writing because I am feeling confused, sad, and overall just irritated I suppose. I took my NCLEX 9 days ago. The majority of my classmates had their results in a matter of 2-4 hrs. A few had to wait 3-4 days. I am going on day 9 with no official results or license issued. I emailed my state nursing board. I was basically just told it is being reviewed and they get to it when they get to it. If my NCLEX results are actually being reviewed, they would be done. Clearly, it does not take 9+ days when the majority of my classmates have results the same day. The wait is stressing me out. I feel like the response I received was not only lacking compassion but likely verging on a brush-off. This process is entirely out of my hands and I feel completely powerless.
