Oregon License by Endorsement

Published

Hopefully some people can help me on this one. So I put my application in, paid my fees, sent over my transcripts, verified my license, and fingerprinted by February 2nd 2020. It is now March 10th 2020 and I am still hanging in limbo. About 2 weeks ago all things left my checklist and it now says "awaiting final approval from nursing board staff" or something to that effect. I have nothing that should impact my status (clean record, good grades, all requirements met). Has anyone applied for Oregon and how long did the endorsement process take you? Everything says 3-6 weeks on travel nursing sites, but the board of nursing site says in bold letters DO NOT CALL, WE DO NOT HAVE A TIMELINE. So I'm sweating on this over here. Anyone have a timeline it took them to get approved for Endorsement there?

I've read somewhere in this forum that it can take up to 2 months. Hang in there.

When I got my Oregon endorsement (2016) it took less than a month.

What date did you finally receive your license? I have the same message you stated...awaiting final review by board to ensure all items have been met (or something like that). All other checklist items were removed about 2 weeks ago and my fingerprints were submitted on April 17,2020. Thank you!

I have applied to and submitted my transcripts. The state I live in does not use NURSYS so have to send Oregon my RN license verification from my boards.

Does anyone know if they accept electronic licensure verification or if it has to be mailed to them?

Anyone from California transferring to Oregon? I'm looking to re-locate and find a job out there and would prefer to have a better time frame than the one online.

@BarefootNurse3

I applied for endorsement to Oregon 6/13 along with sending request for california to send proof of NCLEX passing and RN license verification and still waiting. Was advised the whole process can take 2-4 months.

@gfrivera89

Thank you. I was offered a position in Oregon. They said they will push my start date based on how long the endorsement takes.

Is there a particular form to fill out for RN license verification? I read that we have to mail it to them along with a $100 money order or check, I'm still searching for the verification form.

OP has not visited here since March. Appears many COVID hard hit states BON licensing taking 2-3 months.

Original and Current License Verification: Provide proof of your original state of nurse licensure, and the current or most recent state where you practiced. Most states participate in NURSYS for license verification. If not, you must contact that state directly.

Current states BON participate in NURSYS? Use Nurse License Verification link : https://www.nursys.com/NLV/NLVTerms.aspx

Otherwise, check your states BON website for their verification process. Link to all states Board of nursing found bottom every allnurses page.

How long did it take you to get your Oregon license by endorsement? How long did it take to get your California license verification?
thank you!

Hi everyone,
I know this thread is old, but I wanted to inquire how long it ended up taking all of you to get your Oregon license? I am endorsing my RN license from California to Oregon. I have all my documents in but am waiting for my application to be processed and reviewed. Thanks in advance!
