Oregon License by Endorsement

Published

Hopefully some people can help me on this one. So I put my application in, paid my fees, sent over my transcripts, verified my license, and fingerprinted by February 2nd 2020. It is now March 10th 2020 and I am still hanging in limbo. About 2 weeks ago all things left my checklist and it now says "awaiting final approval from nursing board staff" or something to that effect. I have nothing that should impact my status (clean record, good grades, all requirements met). Has anyone applied for Oregon and how long did the endorsement process take you? Everything says 3-6 weeks on travel nursing sites, but the board of nursing site says in bold letters DO NOT CALL, WE DO NOT HAVE A TIMELINE. So I'm sweating on this over here. Anyone have a timeline it took them to get approved for Endorsement there?

Anyone's post yet? Going into week 3...

Still waiting here. My RN license still says "Awaiting final review". I contacted the BON and was told I can apply for my NP license after my RN is paid for and submitted but that one has moved at a slower pace. I still have three outstanding items on my NP checklist. My OR start date is 8/23/21.

@NP Ray Okay. So your last checklist item has said "awaiting final approval," the same amount of time that mine has. About 3 weeks.

So I emailed the BON and actually got a helpful response. They said in relation to my application being stuck in final review has to do with my fingerprinting. I was told it can take 30+ days for the background check to complete so make sure you get your fingerprinting done ASAP!

I am glad you got a helpful response. My background check was done back in May. It had to be complete to get my ATT before the NCLEX. Today is officially the 4th week I've been waiting for my license to post. @NP Ray, are you about 4 weeks now too?  I have one other classmate that has been waiting as long as I have. I figure I'll wait patiently until 6 weeks and then maybe call.

It has been just over 4 weeks since applying for APRN and my items have been "awaiting final review" for 3 weeks. I have been completely stonewalled when I emailed for some clarification of timeline as we are not supposed to ask. You all aren't alone! Please update thread when you get your license issued to help give us some idea.

So I submitted my RN application on 6/30/21 and my NP application on 7/6/21. I was fingerprinted that same day on 7/6/21 as well. So right now I'm at about 4 weeks for the RN license and 3 for the NP. I'm hoping next week my fingerprints are in and then my license posts.

I got my license today!! Finally! So it took a total of 7 weeks from the day I applied and 6 weeks after they received my background check

So glad someone has gotten theirs!! ? When you say received background check is that the date you fingerprinted or? I applied the day before I fingerprinted (a little over 4 weeks ago) and have been "awaiting final review" for a little over 3 weeks. Hopefully that made sense. I just don't remember when mien ever said background check was received but maybe that was one of the other check boxes that has already cleared ?

I applied 6/10, got my fingerprints 6/11 and the website said “awaiting final review” about two days after my fingerprints. I emailed them a ton of times and they told me they had my background check back but they had a lot of applications to review so I guess that’s what took so long.
