I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!
My choices are:
1. UofT
2. McMaster
3. Nipissing SPP
I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.
I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:
1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine. This satisfies all 3 unis
2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto. I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.
I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.
It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.
Hey, for everyone who applied to Nipissing how long did it take for them to receive your supplementary application? I submitted it at the beginning of January and have still seen no change.
Hey, I emailed them on Jan.21 and my WebAdvisor was updated this week saying they have received my Location Ranking and Course Summary Form. My AP and GenPsych are still blank, I'm assuming they're just checking my psych course description and my AthabascaU transcript for AP.
I am from New Brunswick and wishing to go to an Ontario school in the fall!
I've only applied to McMaster and Western, and I'm hoping I get accepted to one of them!
I just want to get to know everyone on this forum and ask something:
Which school do you want to attend and why?
I am very curious as all nursing schools are the same in Canada; however, what made you interested in these schools.
Hey! I'm applying to UofT, Nipissing, and McMaster for Sept. One big factor I chose these universities is location as I live in Toronto and have family in Niagara. I didn't apply to YorkU although it's here because of its microbio prereq. I'm already taking AP this Winter and can't afford another course just for York.
For those who applied to york, are any of you completing BIO 235 at Athabasca U? If so, where did you submit your transcript as proof of enrollment? Was it through MyFile? I enrolled in Athabasca BIO 235 after I applied to the programs through OUAC, so I had to go back to OUAC and add Athabasca as an institution I attended. After I did that, it appeared on my McMaster U mosaic and I was able to upload it but I don't see it on york MyFile yet so I'm conflicted... Are we supposed to mail it in?

Also in my first year I took a transfer credit course of orgo chem at a different university but I did bad in it so I ended up not getting the credit for it, do I need to provide a transcript for this course that I did not receive a credit for? I do not even have access to that transcript nor do I remember my log in for that institution.

I was told you have to send in all your transcripts, including ones you didn't earn a credit. They just want to see all the courses you take.
If you happen to not send the transcript and they find out, you could get rejected or of they find out while you're in school you'll get kicked out.

OMG thats very scary. This was a course I took in first year Summer from a different instituition. I guess I have to email them now. Thanks for the info! On my undergrad transcript it says orgo chem - no credit in my Summer term of first year, so I still have to get the transcript for that specific course?

I would just be on the safe side and send all transcripts. I took an online course through a different university, and I had to ask the admission team if it was still necessary to send it and they specifically said they want ALL transcripts taken from all institutions.
And no problem! I would never want anyone to go through something like that!

Thank you so much, you're too kind<3! I really do not want to make a mistake this year as I got rejected last year. I'm so scared to send that transcript cuz I was not even able to receive a credit for that course and I did really bad in it.

sorry last question, do I need to make a request on OUAC to that institution to send my transcript or can I just upload a copy for that transcript for the transfer course.

I mean you taken that course in first year and if you did well in your upper year courses, you should be fine! ? It's all about showing growth and improvement!
Hey! For UofT, when we're uploading the course outlines for our pre-reqs does it have to be from the exact semester we took it?? Im trying to find it but some of the courses I took in second year, would any outline be fine as long as its the same course?? thanks!!
