Hey everyone!
I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!
My choices are:
1. UofT
2. McMaster
3. Nipissing SPP
I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.
I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:
1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine. This satisfies all 3 unis
2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto. I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.
I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.
It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.

I was just wondering if there are any current McMaster students that applied to transfer to the McMaster Accelerated program. In my Mosaic it says no current pending applications which is a little concerning. My Casper marks have been delivered to Mac so just getting a little worried that my application was missed or something. Any input would mean a lot!
Hi there! I'm a current Mcmaster student and my application is listed in the student centre on the main page underneath "admissions". There should be two programs underneath your admissions section. Your current program with the subheading "My accepted offers" and your accelerated program application underneath "my applications"

I wrote mine in Jan and sent an email regarding this and I got this automated message. Looks like they are waiting for EVERYONE's CASPER results before updating all of our apps.

Yes you can definitely still get accepted to other schools even if you accept this offer!! Do not worry! You will not be affected in terms of offers of admission from other schools even if you accept York's! Congrats on the offer ?

There's nothing there for me ? it says no pending applications at this time. I'm starting to get worried.

Mine says the same thing but I emailed the admissions office to ask if we'd be getting the results on mosaic or email and they said on email so I'm not sure if they're even going to update everyone's mosaic. ?

Hey everyone,
It's so great to see everyone applying and getting in, and hearing everyone's journey into nursing! I was so worried I was gonna be the only person who completed a full undergrad only to enter a nursing program but it seems I'm definitely not alone.
I'm completing a speacilized honours degree in psychology and decided that research wasn't for me, so I applied for York, Western and UfT compressed nursing. I got accepted to York and Western but UfT is definitely my first choice!

Congrats! May I ask when did you send your application to Western and take your CASPer?
For anybody who applied to uOttawa second entry nursing, read this!!!
I called them to find out what was going on and after numerous emails/phone calls to various people, I found out that despite NOT updating their website whatsoever, they've changed their second-entry nursing program completely. I was told this from the faculty of health sciences:
I can say for sure that there will be no courses offered in May for any second entry nursing students. This modified program integrates students into the regular program, so for example, students would take the second year intro to nursing science in the fall along with pathophysiology, then the second year Intro to nursing practice along with pharmacology in the Winter and then integrate into the 3rd year regular program the following year. So, the same number of credits for the second entry program is spread through a 3 year period.
So.... when we applied we were told it was a TWO year program that started in May. I have been stressing, rushing to finish my ANP course by their April 15 deadline, to only be told after reaching out to them that the prerequisites only need to be done by AUGUST 15. Again, this is not updated on the uOttawa website anywhere. What a shitshow.
Also, they've already sent out their max number of acceptance offers. If you're on the waiting list (like me), you'll hear by April 1 (apparently) whether or not there's a spot for you (if those who've been accepted declined, or if you're refused).
I'm extremely disappointed by their lack of communication. I was told conflicting information from various faculty ALL DAY LONG. Anyways, rant over.

Mine still says that, too. The deadline just passed. I would wait another week or two.
