  1. I found this off of reddit: “Placements start in the Winter term. The first three placements that you get (Winter term, Spring term, Summer term) are randomized and assigned to you. All in Hamilton, I believe. In your final year (next Fall and Winter terms), you can rank your preferences for placement. You can also apply for and rank your preferences for atypical placements (which includes ER, ICU, Public Health, etc), depending on your GPA and references from tutors. The office will then try to match a placement according to your preferences. I've heard that some people had some bad experiences with the ranking system though, and they never got a placement that they had wanted, unfortunately. It's really just luck-based.” I really hope they aren’t online, my friends who are in basic nursing had in person placements and they really enjoyed them. Hopefully I have the same experience, just hoping for the best haha.
  2. Just curious where did you find this information for Mac?
  3. Nope I took Winter 21 off. I emailed Mac and they said they don’t look at the Winter sem. I felt okay afterwards, there were a couple scenarios that I thought I didn’t do well on. I prepared a lot for it though.
  4. Thank you!! Sorry I should’ve specified this is for my last 2 years. My cGPA was a 3.8 but I don’t think they look at it.
  5. Thank you!! Sure, I have a 3.77 on the OMSAS scale.
  6. I just got accepted today! I’m an internal applicant, I’m not sure if that makes a difference. We have 10 days to decide though so I think they’re going to release offers as people decline. Hang in there!
  7. I am most likely going McMaster because I go there right now and it’s less of a change for me ?
  8. I will be declining ?
  9. Do you happen to know if they will release more offers before then?
  10. I think you should send it immediately ?
  11. Congrats on your acceptance! If it’s anything like the basic program it will be assigned to you but you get to rank your choices I think. Also were you an internal applicant?
  12. Sorry I’m not sure about the first question. But as for your second question, I asked admissions and a 3.8 is competitive. It depends on your Casper score too though, I’ve read about people with 3.6-3.7 getting into the program!
  13. https://nursing.mcmaster.ca/programs/undergraduate/bscn-accelerated If you click on sept 2020 you can see the schedule there. There are no breaks between semesters ?
  14. They send out acceptances in May?
  15. Mine says pending applications too ? Mine says the same thing but I emailed the admissions office to ask if we'd be getting the results on mosaic or email and they said on email so I'm not sure if they're even going to update everyone's mosaic. ?
