I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!
My choices are:
1. UofT
2. McMaster
3. Nipissing SPP
I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.
I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:
1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine. This satisfies all 3 unis
2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto. I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.
I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.
It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.
Is there a reason Nipissing is your first choice? It’s hard to find information about the program as it’s quite niche so any perspective would be helpful!
I like the idea of a smaller class size, I also really like the PBL style. Also location, I'd like to be in Toronto ideally. I had a friend who just finished the Nipissing program and she loved it! Passed the NCLEX on her first try and found a job at SickKids within a couple months of graduating.
Im not sure if anyone can answer this but, I know these universities are taking your last 10 courses but if you took Summer courses what marks are they taking from the previous academic year? Are they counting backwards from second semester to first or just taking the highest marks from the full academic year?
Im trying to calculate my GPA but I'm confused because I have a mix of full and half credit courses in my 2019 year. Thanks!
I think they count the last 10.0 credits you took so they count backwards from your last semester.
I like the idea of a smaller class size, I also really like the PBL style. Also location, I'd like to be in Toronto ideally. I had a friend who just finished the Nipissing program and she loved it! Passed the NCLEX on her first try and found a job at SickKids within a couple months of graduating.
Oh wow that’s amazing, would your friend be open to answering some questions I have about the program. It’s very hard to find people in it as it’s so small. If so please DM how I can get in touch with them.
Hey guys it got lost in this thread but I have a question pertaining to York. Does anybody know when they start giving out the next round of offers? I heard everyone discussing other programs on here so I’m just wondering ahaha

I am most likely going McMaster because I go there right now and it’s less of a change for me ?
Just jumping on here to say that the first-time NCLEX pass rate in this post not super accurate. I'm not going to go look for it now but you can find it posted and it falls in line with the other programs. Otherwise, super helpful and informative!

I received an offer on April 30th and so did a few others. It expires on May 14th so I'm assuming they'll release more offers soon after. I'm letting my offer expire as I'm hoping to go to Mac. If not, my second choice is Trent (I've already accepted their offer).
