Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2020

World Canada CA Programs

Updated:   Published

Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?

I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:

1. Queen's

2. McMaster

3. York

4. Humber-UNB

For those who got accepted to McMaster, how do you send official final transcript stating degree granted if applicable?

When does a transcript state the degree was granted?

That's what I was confused about too, cause I finish my last degree requirement this Summer. I emailed ****** to clarify this. Just waiting on her response.

Anyone on UNB/humber's waitlist know the number of applicants on the waitlist or your position on the waitlist??

Hi everyone! I have been following this forum throughout this application process for some positivity and figured it was finally time to make an account. I have currently been offered admission to UofT, McMaster, York, and Trent. I was waitlisted at Queens which was my first choice so I am still hoping to hear from them but for the meantime I will be accepting my offer to Trent! CONGRATS to everyone else on their offers and for those still waiting remain patient as I am sure good news will come soon! ?

I am on the waitlist, when I wrote they said they don’t disclose position on the waitlist to applicants. If you don’t mind please when did you apply and what is your GPA in the last 2 years. Thank you

Does anyone possibly know how many have been accepted to UofTs nursing so far? When I looked at the page it looks like 88 have been accepted since 6 members are admins and are already in the program. Good Luck to all those who are still waiting to hear back, I am on the same boat as you!

On OUAC you can request a transcript to be sent after your degree is conferred. Based on other forums I have read I believe your transcript will state your degree is granted around the time that your convocation was supposed to be which for me is mid June. I am not sure how it works if your convocation is in the fall since the deadline to submit the degree granted transcript is August 1st. Hopefully there will be more clarification in the response to your email!

Yeah I finished my last one in the Winter term and I’m currently waiting for my grades to be final then graduation so I can show them both!

If you could let me know what she says that would be great!!

Hey I emailed about my convocation being in Fall 2020 and they extended the date to clear my conditions to September 12. I'll let you guys know what they say about this though.

Has anyone taken BIOL230 through Athabasca University? It counts on as a physiology requirement for the U of T program. Any thoughts, or advice? I'm hoping to get in touch with someone to hear about their experience with the program!

Hey,

I am completing this course right now actually. Not for U of T but other programs I am applying for. I started taking it in January and I am almost finished. I am finding it pretty chill - but I do have a undergrad in science and have come across a lot of these topics before. Basically it's self guided learning through the online textbook and there's wiley plus for practice questions (which I find extremely useful). The textbook is super clear and easy to understand, I am actually enjoying the material a lot. Exams are very straight forward multiple choice - not tricky at all. They are done through proctor U, so you can write in the comfort of your own home but you are watched through a webcam to make sure you don't cheat. Quizzes are a bit harder but you can use your notes. Assignments are long but straight forward and easy. Let me know if you have any other specific questions, I am happy to help! ?

Thank you for writing back ? any chance that I can get in touch with you via email? I am not able to send messages to you on this forum!

Has anyone else received their offer letter in the mail from Trent? I haven't received mine yet and it is not online but I would like to get an idea of their conditions before I accept.

Does anybody know how to upload an updated transcript onto their Western Student Center account? I emailed Western but they haven't replied and I was wondering if any of you know how to? I appreciate the help!
