  1. Yes there is! The name of the group is "Trent University-Compressed Nursing 2020-2022"
  2. Hey Bhavik! I just finished my Biomed degree at uOttawa and will be taking the accelerated program at Trent. I didn't apply to any collaborative programs and I am not too familiar with Trent's but for accelerated it is a shorter program for the same degree which is beneficial if you aren't wanting to take the extra 1.5-2 years of schooling. However, keep in mind that with accelerated you do have mandatory classes during the Summer (May-July) where with the collaborative program you do not. This might be something you want to consider financially since you may only be able to work full time for one month out the year where as collaborative you can work for four. In regards to classes, both collaborative and accelerated take all the same nursing classes but the reason accelerated is shorter is because you do not need to take all the elective credits since you have them from your previous university education. I could be wrong about this but for collaborative you could still have many transfer credits which might shorten the program length but it will not be condensed into 2.5 years like accelerated. The reason I am saying this is because of the prerequisite course scheduling and the fact that some of the Summer nursing courses are reserved for accelerated nursing students. Again, I am not 100% sure about this but if you are hoping to complete the nursing program in as short of time as possible then accelerated might be the way to go. Hope that helped a bit! ?
  3. In the Ontario Second Entry Nursing Forum someone created a facebook group for everyone attending or planing to attend Trent in Fall 2020. Here is the link in case some of you do not follow that forum! www.facebook.com/groups/trent.compressed.nursing.2020.2022
  4. Has anyone else received their offer letter in the mail from Trent? I haven't received mine yet and it is not online but I would like to get an idea of their conditions before I accept.
  5. I am planning on going to Trent in the fall and would also love to get in touch with some potential classmates! I haven't be able to find a facebook group as of yet.
  6. On OUAC you can request a transcript to be sent after your degree is conferred. Based on other forums I have read I believe your transcript will state your degree is granted around the time that your convocation was supposed to be which for me is mid June. I am not sure how it works if your convocation is in the fall since the deadline to submit the degree granted transcript is August 1st. Hopefully there will be more clarification in the response to your email!
  7. Hi everyone! I have been following this forum throughout this application process for some positivity and figured it was finally time to make an account. I have currently been offered admission to UofT, McMaster, York, and Trent. I was waitlisted at Queens which was my first choice so I am still hoping to hear from them but for the meantime I will be accepting my offer to Trent! CONGRATS to everyone else on their offers and for those still waiting remain patient as I am sure good news will come soon! ?
