I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?
Good luck to all!
Hi everyone! New to the forumI've applied to Western, Trent, McMaster and Queens with a 3.3 GPA.
Recieved a conditional offer to Queens on Feb 13th!
Still waiting for Western (top choice)
Good luck on all your Casper's and the rest of your semesters!
Hey congrats! Just wondering when did you submit your PSE? and if you're still completing pre reqs?
Hey congrats! Just wondering when did you submit your PSE? and if you're still completing pre reqs?
Thank you! I did my PSE in January, I finished the pre reqs last year:)
Not sure how accurate my GPA is but I'm going into my final semester with an 80, so if you nail your PSE then it's totally possible to get in.
It sucks that I have to accept by April 20 because some schools won't offer admission until May. Good luck with your applications!
Did anyone else on here apply to Nipissing SPP? Interview invitations are coming 'late February' I'm getting anxious to hear back! Does anyone know if its safe to assume if you don't get an interview, that 100% means you didn't get in? I'm assuming thats the case but not totally sure
hey! follow the forum i created for Nipissing SPP 2018 -- https://allnurses.com/online-nursing-schools/nipissing-spp-2018-a-1144237-page4.html#post9735879
Hey Everyone,
I have applied to Humber second entry and they said they have 80 spaces. Offers are being sent out but anyone less than 3.5 on a 4.0 scale will have to wait for the final marks to get in. I had applied to 4 year program as well and I got a conditional offer however I have not heard for the 2 year program yet. After talking to the admissions advisor, she said she will have to wait for my final marks from this semester to make a decision. Now with 80 seats in the program, I am not sure if by the end of April, the program might as well get full. It's so stressful.

Hang in there! Whatever is meant to be will always be.. I always tell myself that I can try again and that when one door closes, another opens! Best of luck to you!
You must realize that Humber is a last resort option for most people or mainly catered for international applicants, it is a college at the end of the day (compared to the better 2nd entry University options out there), and not highly regarded for, so don't stress yourself out.
Also, Humber's admission is only for getting into a preparation program where you must score above 74% in all the prep courses before entering the actual program, and no other 2nd entry programs in Ontario forces you to jump through this loop-hole besides Humber, why go through this loop-hole, and risk not getting into the actual program.
Humber has one of the best alumni nurses. I know 5 senior nurses who say Humber is better than U of T because it's more hands on. Also, the degree is from university. Nurses aren't allowed to have nursing degrees from colleges. This is the reason a nursing college has to be affiliated with a university. With this said, I really hope I get an offer soon. I don't think 4 year program is worth it after8 year of schooling already. Maybe the next bulk of offers will be sent out in April? Not on a running basis from feb to April?

Thank you tamaraago! Seriously though, I had less than a stellar transcript (took me 6 years to finish my undergrad, repeated a couple courses... basically a mess). So if i can get in, anyone can :)
