I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?
Good luck to all!
Called for an interview by nippising university today. Is anyone with me ?

Hey everyone!
I'm in my 4th year of undergrad at Western and I applied to Queens, Western, Nipissing, York, and Trent. I received an offer to Queens and an interview for Nipissing. I ideally would like to work in Toronto and was wondering if anyone had any input on what the different programs were like in terms of their strengths and weaknesses.
Also any tips on how to do really well for the Nipissing interview? I haven't done any interviews in the past haha so kind of nervous.
Good luck to everyone!

Would anyone happen to know if UofT considers overall GPA (aka cGPA) when making decisions? Or do they only base their decisions on final year grades? For example, if I have a low cGPA (3.2), but a high GPA in my last 2 years (3.7-3.8), would it lower my chances of being accepted? Does anyone know anything about this? I am so nervous and anxious!!

I'm pretty sure they just look at the last two years!
Hey guys!
I got my offer of admission for the Humber/UNB Second Entry program yesterday!
It's a conditional offer that requires that I finish my degree with a 3.0 and accept the offer by May 1st.
I'm very happy, but Humber isn't my first choice. I was wondering, if by May 1st I haven't heard back from my other applications, can I accept Humber then change my mind if I hear back from another school? I'm not sure how this works..
Any insight is appreciated, thanks!
Hello! I have also applied to second-entry programs for September 2018 and am very anxious waiting to hear back. I am finishing up my undergrad degree at UofT this semester. I applied to Queen's, McMaster, Nippissing, Trent, York, and Humber. Queen's is my first choice as I am originally from Kingston. I was granted an interview for Nippissing on March 12th at 9:30 am which I am very excited about! I am worried about getting in as my GPA is on the lower side, 3.30 on a 4.0 scale for my last 10 credits. Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?
I'm kind of the same boat. I'm graduating this year from UTM and I applied to McMaster and Nippissing. I got the Nippissing interview on the same day and the same time (so I'll see you there lol). I'm a bit worried about my cGPA. It's at 3.35 (that encompasses all 5 years of my undergrad). However, for the last ten credits my GPA is a 3.71. I'm moreso worried about my cGPA than my final 10 credits.

Just so you know, the second entry nursing program at Humber is not even open to international applicants. So I'm not really sure how their program is "catered" towards international students. You also need to consider that this program is one of the only options for people that haven't taken prerequisite courses, which is why they require students to obtain a 74% in their courses during the prep term. I also wouldn't really consider this a loophole, any nursing school you go to in Ontario will require you to maintain a minimum GPA (or minimum grade in each course). I'm not sure why you shed such a negative light on Humber but there are many benefits of going to Humber from what I've heard.
