Anyone applying to any RPN-RN bridging programs for Fall 2020?
I applied to Ontario Tech University (formerly UOIT). I’m thinking of applying to George Brown/Trent, Conestoga/McMaster and Mohawk/McMaster as backups but I really want UOIT.
@Kim, thanks for the information about centennial RPN to BScN bridging program. I have applied for the online bridging at Centennial/Ryerson- fall 2020. Can you kindly tell me about clinical placement? I live near London Ontario so I may have a long drive.
Which semester does clinicals begin?
How many days of the week are allocated for clinicals?
Do you choose your clinical days and placement locations or the school assigns you?
Thanks!
with regards to the timeline, hoping someone has some insight.
For GBC/Trent lets say, or the other duo programs starting September 2020
If you do the 2-semester bridge starting fall 2020 and finish the spring of 2021.
Will you be allowed to apply and attend the BSCN portion of Trent in September of 2021?? Ideally, Fall applications go out Jan/Feb of the same year so I am just confused if they expect you to take a year off between bridging and completing your degree or will they allow you to apply to the trent/ryerson/mcmaster portion while you are still bridging?

For online part-time bridging (6 semesters), clinicals are in semester 4 and semester 6. Clinical can either be 2 days 7am-3pm or 1 day 7am-7pm, it depends on what is available to the school at that time. The school gives you choices and you rank them but really, in the end, the school chooses. Some people get their first choice and some people don't.
